Jaden's Point of View

I'm tired, high, annoyed. I should be in bed with my hot crazy girlfriend, instead she's dragging me to our best friend's house to help finding Griffin who is most likely partying. I'm all in for late night adventures, don't get me wrong, but this is too much.

Rye is over the line worried. She's biting her nails, mumbling stuff under her breathe, distracted, taking too many hits from her yellow juul... everything a person with a slight guilt would be acting. I don't want to assume anything, but I'm guessing she has a reason to be this worried. We're all concerned in our own levels, but Rye is walking around the house and asking the boy's questions like a freaking detective.

"I think I know where he is!" Anthony storms into the house holding his phone up in the air. Rye came running from the stairs along with Bryce to take the phone from Anthony's hand.

"The crackhouse?" Bryce questions.

"The what now?"Rye asks.

"We call this crack house- but it's not, obviously. It's a joke." Bryce explains. "It's like a frat house of people who drink and drug themselves all day, all night... it's like an endless party. It's for rich kids mostly."

"What the fuck? You guys go to that place?"

"I've been there and came out three days later- no shoes, no shirt, and mostly, no dignity." Anthony says and I almost laughed. This kid is insane. "Are you serious?" Rye asks.

"Oh yeah, once you start taking shit you forget time exists. It was-"

"Not that Anthony- I'm asking about Griffin! Are you sure he's there right now?" Rye snapped. I'm sorry but this is funny. "That's him in the picture, are you blind?" Anthony rolls his eyes and I let a laugh out, receiving a glare from Rye instantly.

"Can we go get him?" She asks. That's when this stops being funny. "Are you crazy? The crack house? They only let in Griffin and Anthony because they know a girl that lives there." Bryce says.

"I fucked her, to be exact." Anthony comments and I laugh again.

"Why are you two laughing? This isn't funny." Rye hisses and I clear my throat getting serious. "Well if you can go in, let's take you." She tells Anthony.

"I wouldn't be able to come out, it's really fun in there."

"Fine, I'll go then." Rye shrugged and I fake laughed.

"Absolutely not." I say. "He'll be back, we just have to wait. Besides, he's a grown ass man."

"I can't let him do this to himself. He's clearly hurt-"

"Hurt?" I ask. "Rye you don't even know why he's there. He's probably having the time of his life and you're out here thinking he's going to die. It's a party house not a wrestling ring."

"I mean, he looks fine to me." Anthony backs me up looking at the picture on his phone. God knows who took that picture honestly.

"You two are idiots! I'm not talking about him being physically hurt. He was sad!"

"Jesus, Rye. Lower your voice." I whisper.

"Guys she's right." Bryce states. That's concerning, when Bryce says it... "He wasn't feelings good."

"What? Why?" Anthony and I ask.

"Sierra- she um.. broke up with him." Rye stutters the whole sentence, but then takes a moment to gather herself. "And we have to go get him." She remarks firmly. Okay??
