TWO WEEKS LATER

Rye's Point of View

Peace. Two weeks of work, normality and peace. Who could've thought that it was possible for me to have such thing. I've seen a new therapist, been writing my feelings down, sleeping better with help from the pills. Jaden and I are okay. Griffin is better. Everything is falling into place.

I just hope this isn't some type of calm before the storm.

"I remember the magic electricity— head down, on your knees... hold the split!" Joshua sang along and then instructed me. "Careful with busting your chin on the floor."

I started over again, on the right beat.

"Beautiful." He comments when I finished. "We still have another minute of the song without choreography."

We've taking our time on this dance, we're doing it detail by detail and so far it's the most precious dance I'll ever do. Joshua is underestimated when it comes to choreographing, they doubt him and it's ridiculous because he's the best choreographer in this company.

The month countdown for nationals starts today. I'm starting to feel the pressure. I need to win, not only to prove everyone wrong but for myself too. If I can pull this off after everything that has happened to me, I can do anything.

As soon as the practice was over I left to get ready for an event Joshua invited me. His theatre shows start tomorrow and they're doing a celebration for it tonight. He has a spare pass for party and had no one else to take since the girl, Danna, who he likes and I've met before is in the show so she already has a pass to get in.

Jaden arrived to my apartment a couple of minutes after I did and was confused over what  was going on.

"You didn't tell me you were going out." He comments looking at my makeup products on my bed.

"I didn't? I could've sworn you knew." I frown as I do my makeup. "It's a great opportunity to put myself out there before nationals. Do you know all the famous people that would be there?"

"No, I don't." He simply replies, sounding slightly annoyed. "Let me get this straight... you're his date?"

"No, his date is in the play."

"Oh. Then I guess it isn't that bad but you should've mentioned it at least."

"I'm sorry, I forgot."

"IM HERE!" We hear a loud Addison burst into my apartment. "Me too!" Madison shouts.

"And me!" Bryce mocks their voice.

They walk into my room looking all happy.

"Girl give me that, I'll do it." Mads takes the eyeshadow pallet from me. "I'll do your hair sis!" Addison says going to get my hair things from the bathroom.

I knew they were the right people to call! Except for Bryce, he only came for emotional support.

"Is this the dress that costed seven thousand dollars?" Bryce asks looking at my silk white dress that was placed gently on top of my drawer. Jaden looked at me in total shock and I laughed it off nervously.

"Yeah-"

"Seven thousand? What the hell is that made out of?" Jaden questions making the girls and I laugh. "Rich people shit, I don't know."

"Did Joshua get this?"

"Of course, I'd could never afford it." I answer Jaden's question. I only let Joshua spend that amount of money on me because I wasn't planning on buying an average priced dress and look underdressed next to all those rich and famous people attending the event. "The kid is a millionaire, seven thousand is nothing." Bryce says and I nodded.
