Rye's Point of View
"This is going to be a long night." I say to myself. It was annoying enough with Jazz here, he had to invite Olivia too?
I'm confused by the fact that they're holding hands. I thought he made it pretty clear that he didn't like her. If he's trying to make me feel bad, it's not going to happen. Tonight I won't keep my mouth shut when she starts being mean too me. I'm tired of letting Olivia and Jazz act like complete bitches. During these past weeks Jazz has been over at Bryce's a couple of times and wouldn't stop asking why was I there all the time, as if it was any of her business. But I kept my mouth shut for the sake of Bryce's and I friendship.
"Hey!" Olivia squeals hugging her friend. I can't stand her. "You get invited to these places too?" Olivia says and Jazz laughs.
Jaden and I make eye contact for a second after she said that. I turned around and walked away, not caring if anyone notices or if they find it rude. I need alcohol in my system to get through this night so I went to the bar and asked for three tequila shots.
The people around me must think I'm insane. I'm literally alone in the bar area looking miserable. I'm absolutely stupid for not saying anything back at her. What is wrong with me? I keep saying that I will stand up for myself but I always choke when I have to.
I take my three shots without making any faces. The bartender looks very worried about me, if I were him, I would be too. I look to my right side and Jaden was standing next to me.
"That was impressive." He says.
"Why are you following me? Isn't your girlfriend over there?"
"I'm not here for you. I'm ordering drinks." He isn't twenty one but Olivia is a pretty girl, you know what that means. "And she isn't my girlfriend."
"I don't remember asking." I shrugged. He ignored me and ordered the drinks, I also ordered a beer.
"But you mentioned it." He continues.
"Listen, if you're doing this for any kind of attention, I want you to know that I could care less."
"Are you sure?" He laughs pointing at my empty shot glasses.
"I'm paying her drinks too." Jaden tells the bartender when he came back with our drinks while handing him money. "I don't need you to pay for me."
"I know."
We walk back to the group. I stood next to Griffin since Bryce is too busy dancing Jazz. I don't understand how she's already acting drunk and loud, we've been here fifteen minutes.
"Oh you found her! Girl, I thought you ran away." Olivia tells me. Why are these girls so loud? Shut up for once. "Thanks babe!" Olivia says to Jaden when he gave her the drink, proceeding to almost eat his face. This is so disgusting, I want to go home.
"This is awkward." Griffin states.
"Certain people make it awkward." Olivia says looking at me. Jaden looks at me embarrassed of her comment.
"Sup guys!" Josh announces his arrival with their other friend Anthony. "Can you believe they marked us because we are underage?" Anthony says annoyed showing us the back of his hand, it has a huge X on it. The boys all hug each other and started to talk, they're having a good time unlike me.
