The second task of the Triwizard Tournament came upon them faster than expected. On February the 24th, they all sat together at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. Olivia was hardly eating her breakfast as her mind wandered. Did Harry figure out his clue? Did he have a plan? As she looked around the table, she found that the boy wasn't there, and neither were his two best friends, Ron and Hermione.
"Is there something wrong with the food?" George asked her, bringing her out of her thoughts.
"No, I just... I was just distracted is all," Olivia answered, not looking at him but at her plate as she pushed her food around with her fork.
"Let me guess, you're worried about how Harry is going to do with the second task?" he queried. She didn't reply, but her silence was answer enough for him. "He's going to do just fine. Hell, he might even win. You thought he was gonna die last time and he performed the best."
"Why isn't he here then? And where are your brother and Hermione?"
"Fred's right there-"
"Not him, the other one."
"Percy graduated-"
"George! I'm talking about Ron!"
"Oh, that one. I'm sure he's fine. He's probably with Harry and Hermione doing something he's not meant to, as always."
"They should all be here. Especially Harry. He needs all the strength he can get."
"I agree, love, but you need to eat, too. You don't want to pass out from all the excitement out there and miss the whole thing, do you?"
Olivia sighed in defeat. "Fine. But if I end up throwing this all up, I'm blaming you."
"I can take that. As long as you don't throw up on me."
Just like the first task, Angelina, Alicia, and Olivia walked down to the stands alone, as Fred, Lee, and George were going about collecting bets.
"What do you think they're doing today?" Alicia asked curiously, looking out to the Black Lake.
"Probably making them swim in the Black Lake for ages," Olivia said. "Whoever drowns or freezes to death last, wins."
"Oh, don't be so negative, Liv," Angelina said. "They're not going to make them die on purpose."
"Okay, then it'll be accidental. I don't see how that's better."
"Oh, for goodness sakes," Alicia said. "If they weren't killed by those dragons, they're not going to be killed by a lake."
"Unless there's something worse than dragons in that lake."
"Is there?"
"Probably. This is Hogwarts. They literally had a giant three-headed dog in the third-floor corridor, and the security on it was so loose that it was discovered by a couple of first-years."
"That was ages ago-"
"It was three years ago!"
