"Are the Weasleys not coming back yet?" Angelina asked as the Hogwarts Express had left Platform 9 3/4 and Fred and George were nowhere to be found.
"They should be. Their dad's been cured," Olivia said, confused as to why the twins weren't there as well. "I hope something else hasn't come up."
"Maybe they got another flying car and they're using that to get to Hogwarts," Lee suggested.
"Let's hope they didn't let Ron drive again if that's the case," Alicia said.
"I highly doubt they're traveling via flying vehicle," Olivia said reasonably. "Molly would most definitely not approve. Besides, Arthur wouldn't want to risk another inquiry."
"Might as well just call them Mum and Dad at this point," Lee said quietly. Alicia nodded her agreement.
"What was that?"
"Oh, come on, Liv. You're on first name terms with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, you spend holidays with the whole lot of them, your families get along... you're practically a Weasley already."
"Not to mention they've been dating for a year now," Alicia added with a smile. "I hear wedding bells!"
"Don't be ridiculous," Olivia said with a slight laugh, looking down at the book in her lap so her friends couldn't easily see the blush on her cheeks. "We're just kids yet. We've still got to graduate, get jobs, move out on our own..."
"Why move out on your own when you can move in together?"
"All right, all right, leave her alone, you two," Angelina laughed. "Can't you see her getting all flustered? One step at a time, you'll stress her out." She looked to Olivia. "So, you have been dating for a year now... did you spend the day together?"
"Of course," Olivia said like it was obvious. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."
"So... how was it?"
Olivia gave her a look and the girls burst into laughter.
Later on that day, the four of them entered the common room and were surprised to see Fred and George already there.
"Did you two Apparate here or something?" Lee asked them.
"You can't Apparate on Hogwarts grounds, Lee!" Olivia reminded him. "You would think after seven years you would have noticed that."
"The question still stands," Angelina said, crossing her arms with a stony expression on her face, "how and when did you get here?"
"Just a few hours ago," Fred answered nonchalantly.
"That doesn't answer how!"
As Fred's mind scrambled to find an answer, George caught Olivia's eye and nodded his head to a section of the common room where there were no arguing couples. She got the hint and the two of them slipped away.
"How did you get here?" she asked him quietly.
"The Knight Bus," he told her.
"Ah."
Olivia knew of the Knight Bus but had never ridden it herself. However, she remembered a story David had told her, Oliver, and their cousins when they were all fairly young. He had been in his teen years when he had tried to run away from home and as a result had discovered and ridden the Knight Bus. He made sure to tell them of all the negative bits of the experience, most likely so they would remember them if they were ever tempted to run away. Olivia supposed it had worked, because to this day, whenever she thought of the Knight Bus, she remembered her grandfather telling them all about how nauseous, dizzy, and fearful he had been and hoped she would never find herself on that bus.
