EMAN'S 17TH BIRTHDAY

Eman's POV

Saturday.

Just like how I planned, guests are in gowns and suits. Nasa tabi ang buffet, tables and chairs are all occupied already, there's the band owning the stage, I also see gifts sa isang side.

This is perfect! I love the designs. I love how people laugh with each other. I adore how the organizer filled our whole spot with elegance.

I sighed and sat on my bed. Kanina ko pa silang tinitingnan sa window. It's already 8:39 pm and the party is about to begin.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Darling... can I come in?"

"Yes... Daddy!" I exclaimed.

Pumasok siya at dumeretso sa tabi ko. He is wearing a dark double-breasted suit. It really looks good on him.

"Pogi ba?"

We laughed at each other.

"Thank you, Eman. Seriously."

"For what?"

"For understanding all of what we have done to you."

"Dad... tapos na po tayo diyan. I am more than okay now."

Bumuntong hininga siya at tsaka nagsalita muli.

"Well I guess, party's starting soon, hope you're ready." He smiled and kissed me on my forehead.

Hinintay ko siyang makalabas at muli kong tiningnan ang sarili ko sa salamin.

It's really funny how the Eman who is crying yesterday is still here to fight for her own justice.

Yesterday was really a blast. Kailangan kong umiyak pagkadating but amazingly nakatulog ako. Pagkagising ko I went straight kay Daddy at niyakap siya nang sobrang higpit. I think I just missed him. I missed them.

Everything about my family now... naiintindihan ko na. It's just that, the chaos still won't stop hanggang hindi ako gumagalaw.

Nostalgic chaos. I can compare my life to these words. Patuloy na binabalikan ang mga kaguluhan kasi alam kong hindi pa ito natatapos. Alam kong hindi lang dito ito magwawakas.

I stood up at inayos ang buhok ko. I smiled at myself sa salamin. I can do this.

Time came, my grand entrance was insane, I know. People stood and clapped as if I'm the most important person in the party. But, I guess they are right? Haha.

"Again... our celebrant... Emandria!"

Then they clapped again, I can see how they smiled at me.

Inilibot ko ang paningin ko mula sa kaliwa hanggang kanan. Perfect!

Vlad with his parents, Wexi with her family too and Troy, Orin, Fairon and Viro. There are also some guests, my classmates and other close friends. And Daddy.

I smiled and then started to speak. "This is so fluttering!" I laughed. "To all the guests, well, good evening. Are y'all good?"

"Yohoooo!"

"Let's get this on!"

"Hoooooooo!"

I smirked and continued speaking. "The past days... I mean the past years were not that perfect but... I am really glad I turned seventeen with all of you, guys. I just want to thank you for being here! Thank you!" I smiled again and sat on the chair which is reserved for me.
