Pretty Much
Chapter Eighteen
"Ari, quit laughing! Walang nakakatawa!"
I lost count of times she have said that yet I can't obey her. What's happening right now really amuses me.
"Sorry, sorry...I can't help it." I pursed my lips to keep myself from laughing again.
And all of it because she's still wearing her fortune teller costume.
"Ba't ba kasi kailangan pa suotin 'to?
Hindi mukhang pang-joke time.
"I am! I just don't want them to blame me if ever na hindi nangyari sa kanila ang mga sinabi ko. For Pete's sake, I based my advices on what I've read too."
"Sus malalaki na 'yang mga 'yan. I'm pretty sure they knew what they're getting themselves into," saad ko habang bumibili kami ng cotton candy.
It's true though. Like it's a matter of life and death situation. And as for Sagi, she knew exactly what she's talking about. It's not some cheap guessing to deceive people. She could pull out facts and studies in your face if ever na magduda ka.
I knew she's engrossed with this, it's just that I choose not to believe it entirely. But that doesn't mean I won't support her in her passion.
She suddenly grin as we eat. She must've mentally calculating what she'll earn if ever. Ganyan siya ka-advance.
"Jade, last na 'to. Kaya mo rin ba mag-palm reading?" Lumapit ulit 'yung babaeng unang nag-approach kay Sagi. This time, I didn't laugh para seryosohin niya. Baka nagho-hold back lang siyang gawin dahil sa'kin.
That's it. I've made a mental note to work on with my sensitivity.
She mysteriously smile at her. "What do you wanna know?"
Nanood lang ako as they talked for like fifteen minutes. Grabe.
She didn't give a price with her service, binigyan na lang siya bigla.
