"Josh, bro, wake up! May VG tayong gagawin."
"C'mon, dude, ate Shan wanted it now. She's calling like every damn minute."
"Ten more minutes!" I shouted back, putting a pillow on my face to block their noise.
"Get up there, bro, naka-set up na kami."
Groaning, I bury myself more on the bed. I know next week pa naman ang due no'n. Ate Shan's being uptight again.
Why can't they just give me my nap? Kakahiga ko lang and I haven't had a long sleep since the other—
"April's downstairs, dude. Nikki invited her over to hang."
My head suddenly whipped up, eyes are still blurry. "Who?"
"Si April, Josh. She's sitting on the couch and—"
Agad kong binuksan ang pinto at nilagpasan sina Joey at Justin para dumiretso sa living room. She's here? What time is it? Akala ko ba may shift siya?
My shoulders slackened when I see no signs of her there. Instead, Nikki, Chris, and Lance welcomed me with their crazy laughs that filled the entire house.
Napailing na lang akong tumingin sa relo ko. Sabi na nga ba, e. She has work every evening kaya imposibleng nandito siya. "Not funny, guys."
"Disappointed much?" Nikki teased.
Aakyat na sana ako nang natatawang harangan nina Justin at Joey ang staircase. Wala na akong nagawa at tuluyang umupo sa couch.
Pina-compress kami ni Nikki habang nakaupo para magkasya sa frame. I was in the middle of fixing my hair when I heard Joey snickered beside me. "No shit, Josh, you should've seen that look on your face."
That earned a couple of chuckles from everyone. Pinabayaan ko na lang sila at tahimik na nire-review ang notes na binigay ni ate Shan sa'min.
"Sana pala vinideo ko 'no. Sayang, I didn't know kasi na lalabas ka talaga—"
"Oo na, panget. Catch na namin. Halata namang kung 'di ka nagpaka-engot kanina edi sa may pang-blackmail ka or whatever, okay ka na? Can we start now?" Nikki said while arranging the phone on top of the tripod.
Joey's scowl to her makes me smirk. As usual, taob na naman siya kay Nikki.
After hundreds of birthday and station anniversary greetings, we're done. Kukunin na lang 'yon ni ate Shan mamaya or bukas para ibigay sa iilang mga fans namin at mga radio station na nag-guest kami dati.
"So Josh, when will April come over again?"
