"Sigurado ka na ba sa desisyon mo?"

Kinuha ni Lin ang Lifestyle Magazine sa ilalim ng center table. Umismid siya nang ipakita sa'kin ang picture ko na kinunan sa isang social function sporting my VALENTINO Signature print shirt dress.

"Philippine's finest fashion designer..." tumango-tango siya. "Sino kayang naglagay sa'yo sa lime  light, noh?"

I rolled my eyes at her statement. Nakwento ko sakanya ang tungkol sa pagkausap ni Raeden sa Indonesian President.

"Hindi ko ginusto 'yan!"

She shifted her weight and look at me with disgust. "Ofcourse you do! 'Wag na nga tayong magplastikan. Alam natin na ito yung pangarap mo. At sa ayaw mo't sa gusto, di mo na mababago yung fact na part si Raeden ng success mo."

Ofcourse. I won't forget about that.

Hindi ko alam kung kaibigan ko pa siya. Seems like she's siding Raeden this time.

O baka talagang may point siya? She kept encouraging me na magstay rito at 'wag magpadalos-dalos. But my decision is firm. I am going to leave this house and pay Raeden for the money he spent for me and for Dustine.

If only I knew Linelle would oppose my decision, di ko na sana siya pinapunta rito.

Sa gilid ng mata ko ay nakita ko ang di magkanda-ugagang mga kasambahay sa paglabas-masok ng pagkain sa kwarto ni Raeden.

His Bugatti Veyron and Nissan Navara NP300 were both in the garrage. It only means he did not go to work.

"Late ba palagi nagigising 'yang boylet mo?" She asked out of curiosity.

"He's an early bird."

Nagtataka rin ako ngunit mas pinili kong ipagkibit-balikat iyon.

Dustine and Ysmael are on the rooftop, pampering themselves in the infinity pool. Wala ring alam ang kapatid ko sa pag-alis ko. But I planned everything beforehand. Kumuha na ako ng bahay na may monthly amortization sa Terreno South. Ililipat ko si Dustine sa Terreno South together with Manang Wena and Ysmael.

Technically speaking, under the law, and as per advised by the Child Custody Attorney, the surviving maternal grandparent of Ysmael which is Manang Wena will automatically get custody, considering that something happened to her mother.

Dustine has every right and can claim custody and sole paternal authority over the child providing that he will show a paternity test to prove that he is the biological father. The law tends to favor the natural parent which is Dust but for the mean time, Ysmael will be under Manang Wena's custody.

"I bet Dustine wouldn't agree with this."

Tumigil ako sa paglagay ng mga damit sa maleta at tinignan ang kaibigan. "Alam mo, biased ka. Ako ang kaibigan mo. Hindi si Raeden."

Tumigil rin siya sa pag-aayos. Tinutulungan niya parin ako kahit wala sa loob niya. "Yes, I am your friend. But, girl, I'm not taking sides here. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit pinipigilan mo na mahulog ulit sakanya."

I shrugged abruptly. "He deserves someone better."

Nagpakawala siya ng malalim na hininga at umupo sa kama ko habang nakatingin sa'kin na para bang di makapaniwala sa mga sinasabi ko.

"Gaga! Imbes na sabihin mong may mas deserving para sakanya, bakit hindi mo subukang maging deserving para do'n sa tao."

Hindi ako umimik. Buo na ang desisyon ko. At hindi si Linelle ang makapagpapabago no'n.
