Bloody Mary (COMPLETED)

Chapter 3

"She doesn't want me for Leo" Mary murmured as she collapsed on the couch.

They just got home from Avril De Valencia's home and Mary was silent the whole ride. Arman and Sheryl just glanced at her in worry but kept their mouths shut. This was the first time she spoke since they left.

"Sino Tatty?" Sheryl sat on the couch near her.

She missed that. When she was a little girl, her parents nicknamed her 'Tatty'. Though she started to hate it when she started high school and demanded everyone to start calling her Mary, she missed being called Tatty. It reminded her of memories when she was but a child and no rich aunt hated her for being together with her nephew.

Sheryl knew who Mary was talking about. She just wanted confirmation from her. At the moment she noticed Avril's glare to her daughter, she hated the woman. But she acted civil throughout the dinner for Leo.

"Yung tita ni Leo!" Mary groaned. Arman went to seat across them after he fetched a beer from the kitchen.

"Ganyan talaga anak. Mukhang bruhilda naman siya eh" Sheryl giggled.

"Mom" Mary groaned to which Sheryl laughed.

"If it makes you feel any better, your father doesn't like Leo too" her mom said quietly.

At this, Mary removed her hands from her face and looked to her father.

"I didn't know that. Why don't you like him?" Mary raised her brows at Arman

"Well, naturally, as a father of a beautiful daughter such as yourself..." Arman gestured towards Mary to which she muttered a thank you.

"I can't help na ipagdamot ka sa mga lalaki that wants to take you away from me" Arman murmured.

"Oh dad, it's alright. Leo is a nice man" Mary recited.

"I know sweetheart, but I can't help but notice that something is not right with him, you know?" he sipped his beer.

"Did your fatherly instinct tell you that?" Sheryl asked sarcastically.

"Well of course, naka hard wired kaya yun" Arman smirked at Sheryl to which she rolled her eyes.

"Thank you sa pag-aalala sa akin dad" Mary started.

"Pero sana wag na ganon ang turing niyo kay Leo. He's gonna help me build my own family, I'd like for you to recognize him as your own" Mary pleaded with pretty eyes.

When Arman nodded solemnly, Sheryl started to tear up. Mary noticed this and immediately went to her side.

"What's wrong mom?" she asked worriedly.

"T-The part where you said that you're gonna build your own family got to me"Sheryl sniffed.

"Kahit naman magkapamilya ako, I'm still your girl eh" Mary rubbed her back.

"Y-Yeah. Of course. And don't forget to bring my apo here every day" Sheryl smirked at Mary.

"Mama naman, matagal pa iyon. Ikakasal pa lang, apo na agad?" Mary blushed to which Sheryl laughed.

"Oo nga naman Sheryl, ano ba naman yan. No baby is going to be born hangga't hindi sila ikinakasal" Arman said gruffly.

Mary and Sheryl looked at each other and laughed at Arman. She truly was a daddy's girl.

"Hayaan mo na love, ganun lang talaga si tita Avril" Leo said from the phone.

It was already 12:36 in the morning yet Mary couldn't sleep. She keeps replaying what Avril said earlier. So she called Leo to rant about it.
