Bloody Mary (COMPLETED)

Chapter 1

"What are you doing?" the woman gaped at the man kneeling in front of her.

"Tattiana 'Mary' Garcia..." he breathed.

"We have been together now for two years, and it was the best years of my life, still is" Mary chuckled at his statement.

"Simula nang nakilala kita, you completed my nights, my days, and even my dreams. So now, if you'd agree, I would love for you to complete my life, so Mary..." he paused.

She knew what was coming next and couldn't help the tears from escaping her eyes. This was the moment she was waiting for her whole life!

"Will you marry me?" he finally asked.

"Say yes already! My goodness ang tagal!" someone shouted. Mary turned her head and saw her bestfriend, Rose smirking at her. Finally, Mary turned her attention to the man in front.

"Yes, Leo. A thousand times yes!" she squealed while nodding her head.

At Mary's answer, Leo stood up and quickly put the ring on her finger with a big smile before he squished her to his chest.

The loud applause of people around them echoed inside the restaurant. Even the waiters stopped their service and the cooks went outside of their station. Rose walked briskly towards the new engaged couple. When Mary saw her best friend, they hugged and squealed at each other.

"Finally, it took you forever to answer. I had to hide behind the counter sa tagal mo" Rose sarcastically said.

"Wait, you knew he was going to propose?" Mary gaped at Rose.

"Of course, kanino bang restaurant ito?" Rose rolled her eyes. Mary just laughed in response.

Right, she forgot that. The Blue Bells Restaurant was for Rose to manage since her father gave her the responsibility. Nothing important happens here without Rose's knowledge.

"Babe, is it alright if I go now? I have to tell Aunt Avril about our engagement" Leo whispered to Mary.

"Go ahead. The sooner the better right?" she smiled softly at her fiance. With a quick peck on the cheeks, he went on his merry way.

Leo was on his way driving to his aunt's house. He was orphaned 10 years ago when his parents died in a house robbery. There were no grandparents to take him in because they already died of old age, there was only his aunt Avril, his father's sister, to take him in. So she did.

Avril became Leo's guardian and managed the De Valencia's finances for Leo until he graduated and became a lawyer. After getting a job, he managed his own, built his own firm from scratch, and became a successful lawyer.

He was managing a case from the Ong family when he met Mary. She was in the Ong household with her bestfriend, Rose Ong. The moment their eyes met, he fell in love.

He courted her of course, after 10 months, she agreed to be his girlfriend. Now, they were engaged and on their way to a happy future. He couldn't be more proud for himself.

The only problem now was telling his aunt. Though Mary was the sweetest girl, for some unknown reason, Avril never liked her for Leo.

But he couldn't care less. She was the love of his life, he wouldn't let her go.

Like the saying goes, till death do us part.

Leo was thinking of a plan when his phone blared. He answered it and put it on speaker.

"Is it true?" a girl's voice screeched.

"Is what true?" he released a breath.

"You know what I'm talking about, Leo" her voice raised.
