Sheryl Garcia was staring at the moon outside their farm house while reminiscing all that happened four days ago. She sighed as she remembered her daughter crying in Leo's chest as the guards hauled Marco's body to remove him from the floor.

That day, Mary had to kill two people who were trying to hurt her and her fiancé. If it were Sheryl, she would've done the same. If someone hurt her daughter, she wouldn't know what she would do, possibly something dangerous.

Sheryl's eyes were trained at the large moon on the sky, its light illuminating everything below. It was a new moon, a sign of new changes. She stared at it for minutes before deciding to return to the farm house.

She started to walk when a light shined in her eyes. She covered her eyes at the light and then opened them again to see what was shinning at her. Sheryl's head tilted in confusion when she saw that the light was coming from the tree far off the house.

Sheryl started walking towards the tree and shivered when the wind blew. Her eyes looked around consciously. She still remembered when they discovered Rose's corpse here. She shivered at the memory before standing in front of the old tree.

Crouching at the foot of the tree, she picked up the small object that was nicely hidden under the tree's large roots with pearly white beads surrounding it. It must have shined a light because the moon's light was so bright tonight.

Standing up once more, she inspected what was in her hand.

It was a golden cufflink.

She knew it was expensive because it was made from real gold. She would know. Because she was the one who bought it...

At the thought, Sheryl's eyes widened as she ran to the house. With trembling hands, she dialed Mary's number as her other hand gripped the gold cufflink.

"Are you sure na okay na talaga?" Leo asked worriedly as Mary as he opened the door.

"Yes" Mary smiled.

"Hindi na masakit ang balikat mo?" Leo raised his brows at her.

"Hindi na nga, ang kulit mo" Mary laughed as they exited Leo's apartment building.

Leo and Mary returned to his apartment to get his things before going back to the farm house. It has been four days since the scene at the hospital but Leo was still worried over her. Leo's car was waiting for them in front of the building and they were on their way to it when it started raining.

Leo cursed as he surveyed the box in his hand and found out that he left his umbrella at his apartment.

"Bilisan mo, kunin mo na" Mary rolled her eyes at Leo as he put the box down and kissed her cheek before entering the building once again.

Now alone, Mary surveyed the empty street. Only street lights and the moon shone from the dark sky as raindrops fell to the pavement, no person in sight since it's already 11:37pm. She couldn't help but be conscious now since all that had happened.

Sighing, Mary enjoyed the silence. It was only a few minutes before her phone blared in her purse. Bringing it out, she smiled when she saw it was Sheryl who was calling.

"Hey, ma. Don't worry. Leo and I are on our way. Kinuha niya lang yung-" Sheryl cut off Mary's voice.

"A-Are you with Leo?" Sheryl breathed heavily which made Mary's brows furrow.

"Not at the moment. He went back upstairs to get the umbrella. Why?" Mary raised her brow.

"Get out of there, Mary!" Sheryl panicked.

"What are you saying ma? Why would I do that?" Mary asked.

"M-Mary, it's him! It's him!" Sheryl shouted.

"Who are you talking about?" Mary shifted in her footing.

"Leo! He's the killer!"

At what her mother said, Mary's lips straightened in a line. She was frozen like a statue as she tried to digest what Sheryl said. When she wasn't answering, Sheryl spoke once more.

"Mary? Mary! Are you there?!" her mom's panicked voice sounded.

"M-Ma. A-anong sinasabi m-mo?" Mary's heart thumped in her chest.

"Mary, did Leo come back at Rose's site where we found her body?" Sheryl asked.

"N-No, mom. Isang b-beses lang siya nakapunta doon. T-the day we found R-Roses body"  Mary was whispering now.

"But he wasn't wearing a suit then" Sheryl gasped.

"W-what are you saying mom?" Mary's voice trembled.

"Mary. I found a cufflink under the tree where we found Rose" her mom announced.

"So?" Mary was getting nervous now.

"Mary, don't you get it? Kay Leo yung cufflink na nahanap ko! The cufflink I'm holding now is the same cufflink I gave him as a gift when you told us you two were engaged!" Sheryl shouted.

Mary's breath hitched. Her eyes widened in fear and shock at the revelation. Leo only went once to Rose's site as far as she was concerned, the only way his cufflink got there was if he returned again...

Or if he was the one who killed Rose.

As Mary gulped heavily, her hands trembled. She was about to answer back to her mom when a hand snatched her phone away from her ear. Her eyes widened even more when she saw Leo clutching her phone in his hand while he was staring at her with a dark look.

"Ma. Mamaya ka na tumawag. Mag uusap muna kami ni Mary" Leo grumbled at her phone to Sheryl.

"L-Leo?! W-Wag mong sasaktan si Mary! Plea-"Sheryl's panicked voice was cut off when Leo dropped the call. He put Mary's phone in his pockets as he focused on Mary with a dark glare.

"Love, let's talk" Leo said as Mary gulped once more.
