Vex jerked his head up when the door slammed open. The woman stood in the frame of the door. Her face was flush red her brows were creased and her lips were thinned. Vex didn't say anything. He started to smile when he noticed her 'friend' did not accompany her this time. In rage, the woman rushed in. Without hesitation she walked up to Vex, swung her arm back, and with a loud grunt she swung her fist into Vex's injured eye. Vex groaned as his head was knocked back but brought it back above his shoulders.

He let the smile return to his lips but he kept it subtle so he wouldn't get his again.

The lady grabbed the chair from the corner and brought it close to Vex before taking a seat in it. She leaned forward with her elbows on her knees. She didn't say anything, only stared at Vex. Vex stared back, as much as his cracked, bleeding lips hurt his smile still showed.

"I was hoping to see him again." Vex voiced in a sad tone.

The lady didn't say anything.

Vex readjusted in his chair. The restraints around his wrist and ankles have started to dig into his skin. The rope around his neck started to dig into his throat as well. Every time he moved he felt the rope slide across the missing skin on his neck.

"Well?" Vex asked inquisitively.

"Does Damian know where you are?"

Vex looked at her. Her face was no longer angry, she was holding the same face when Damian attacked her all those years ago. Vex let out a small chuckle, "Are you scared?"

The lady's hands fisted but she didn't raise them again. "Answer the fucking question."

Vex raised his hands in defeat, "Sadly, that is classified information."

She hit him again. Like before she landed right to his eye. Vex groaned a little louder this time, the rope around his neck slid across his neck a little harder. The lady smile disappeared as Vex faced her again. He was no longer in his joking mood.

"He's an animal, Daisy." His voice was no longer joking either. It was strange to say his ex-boss's name again. "And if you think having me here as hostage will protect you then you don't know enough about wendigos to employ them." He waited to see if she was gonna his him again based on her expression, when she didn't he continued. "Lia is his first priority. This whole hostage bullshit is just small trouble, search and retrieve." Vex tried to stay serious but he started laughing.

Daisy frowned, "Whats so funny?"

"You, sending your little 'friend' changed it." Vex chuckles made him slightly choke on the rope around his neck. "He's no longer just looking for me. He's looking for you, who sent that little pest after Lia." He was able to calm his laughing as the rope started to hinder his movement. "And I don't have to explain to you what he's gonna do when he finds you."

Daisy stood up from her chair. "If he's a fucking animal then I'll kill him as one." She pulled out her gun and put it between Vex's eyebrows. "And you along with him."

Vex sighed and relaxed back into his uncomfortable chair. "I love Lia." He said calmly. "And I know wether I am here or not when Damian gets here he'll eat you alive just as he did to your friend." Closing his eyes he finished with, "And with or without me I know Damian is gonna take care of Lia just fine."

He felt the pressure of the barrel of the gun be released from his head. Opening his eyes he saw her put her gun away.

Vex smiled, "Whats your next plan?"

Daisy left the room, shutting the lights off and slamming the door on her way out, leaving Vex in complete darkness.
