I stayed for a little while at Palm's party then I decided to go home dahil dumating rin naman ang ibang guests nina papa. I am on my book when I heard a knock on my door. I stood up and open the door for mama.

"Anak, busy ka ba?", she asked, she looked at me and saw that my med book was open, obviously that I am reading. "May sasabihin lang sana 'ko", she said.

"Is it about your lovelife?", I asked her. I didn't get any response. "If yes, let it slide for now 'ma, I am accepting it little by little, just give me more time", I requested.

"I'm sorry", she apologized.

"Ma, if you're sorry, stop him for courting you", I challenged her but I already knew the answer before I asked it. I knew that she love that architect. Aware naman na 'ko. "Just don't be sorry 'ma, if you're happy then so be it. Be happy with him but I am telling you that if he tries to hurt you or what, nako talaga 'ma!", I said and that's enough to hear her laughter. I smiled and enclosed her into a hug. "Be happy 'ma tutal masaya na rin naman si papa", I said.

I heard her sobs, I caressed her hair and tighten my hug. "Thank you Thasia", she muttered in between sobs.

"You had been through a lot 'ma, you don't need to thank me", I said. When I released her, I cupped her face and gave a kissed on her forehead. "I won't be a hindrance anymore 'ma", I uttered.

"You were not a hindrance anak and you'll never be", she said. After that scenario, pumasok na rin siya sa kwarto niya and so do I. I continue reading my medical books until I felt sleepy.

The next morning, I saw mama preparing a food on the dining. When she saw me, she gestured me to come and eat first. I ate before going to work caused its Chicken Curry, I just can't resist it charm. After that, I went to the hospital and did my rounds at the ER.

"Nabalitaan niyo na ba, matagal na pa lang umalis sa Pedia Department si Dr. David", I heard a nurse said to her intern friend. "Isa pa naman siya sa pinakamagaling na pediatrician", she added. I didn't get any news regarding Jayen, ngayon na lang ulit. Hindi ko rin siya nakikita sa ospital since then, I wonder why.

"Talaga? Sayang naman! Crush ko pa naman siya", the intern replied. Umalis na 'ko at hindi na sila pinakinggan pa. I put the data on the ER's desk and felt Jayna's presence beside me.

"Totoo ba? Wala na sa Pedia si Jayen?", I asked her without looking at her. I fixed my gaze at the data of my patients. I felt Jayna's eyes on me. "Don't give me that look", I said.

"At kailan ka pa naging interesado kay Protacio?", she asked me.

I eyed her. "No need. Not interested", I replied.

She laughed. "Not interested pero naging chismosa", she teased and right before ko na paluin siya, nakaalis na si bruha. Ang lupit talaga mang-asar 'nun.

"Emergency patient coming!", a paramedic shouted while pushing a stretcher. "She has five stab wounds and bruises that seems she was tortured", she added.

"Let's transfer her", I commanded. I quickly cut her shirt and see her wounds. She was badly tortured, ang dami niyang pasa. "Get the IV fluid now", I ordered and I knew na may sumunod na sa akin.
