"Anasthasia".

I drink my milk and put the glass on the sink then I faced Jayna who's here at our house again. She's been like this for almost a month or two since I decided not to go back to work and leave the house. I know that I am making them worried but I just want to be alone. Even my mother, I didn't talked to her, whenever I see her I always remember that she gave her consent to let lola signed the Do-Not-Resuscitate form. I am aware that she had no fault but I can't still accept it.

"Bumalik ka na sa trabaho, sa pagiging doktor, nagaalala na kami", she said and sat on the chair, giving me a worried look. "Lahat ng texts and calls namin hindi mo sinasagot. Ano bang gusto mong mangyari sayo?", she asked.

"Leave me alone", I replied. She looked at me in disbelief. She clenched her jaw and eyed me.

"We let you be alone for two months, Thasia, is it not enough?", she responded instead. I gave her an emotionless look. I felt nothing since that day. Parang tinakasan na ako ng emosyon.

"Just leave me alone", I said.

She stood up getting her bag. She take a steps but looked back at me. "Sana isipin mo rin yung mga taong nagaalala sayo. Ang tagal na naming naghihintay", she said and went out on our house. I sat on the couch and grab my phone. I looked at the messages that were sent to me.

Fr: Dionne

Hi mahal, papasok ka na ba? Kumain ka 'ha? Hihintayin kita.

Fr: Gal

Thasia, are you okay? Can I visit you?

Fr: Dannex

Hoy tama na pagmumukmok d'yan. Di mo ba namimiss ang paborito mong engineer?

Fr: Karlo

Balik ka na samin doc. Miss na namin ang paborito naming surgeon. Miss ka na rin ni Dionne. Ayie.

Fr: Jayna

Girl, pumasok ka na huhu

Fr: Andeng

Ramyeon us. Miss you pinsan kong doktor.

My eyes started to waters. I made them worried. I am being too selfish. I wiped my tears and stood up. I know I am late to work but I miss wearing my doctor's gown. I miss the noise in emergecy room. I miss everyone. I went upstairs and prepared myself to work. I took a bath for almost thirty minutes and after that I wore a simple attire. I put some light make-up then I suddenly glances at the calendar.

It's my birth month already. And the next day will be my day and our second year.

I took a cab and I arrived at the hospital after thirty minutes including the traffic. After a few months, I can finally wear my doctor's gown again. I entered the ER and Jayna smiled as she saw me walking towards them. I roam my eyes to find Dionne but he's not around.

"Si Dionne?", I asked as I went near them.

Fe hugged me. "Namiss ka namin, doc", she uttered between our hugs. I smiled and tapped her back.

"Ako, walang hug?", Karlo asked nang kumalas kami sa yakap. Fe hitted him on his arms kaya napa-aray siya. I looked at Calvin who's smiling at me like now.

"Si Dionne?", I asked him.

"Ilang araw nang 'di pumapasok 'yun. Nagpaalam naman siya pero wala kaming balita about sa kanya", Fe replied instead. My brows knitted by her answer.

"Dalawang araw lang naman siyang absent 'ah. Ngayon tsaka kahapon", Karlo said. I looked at Calvin to seek for an info na baka alam niya kung nasa'n si Dionne but he just shrugged. I took out my phone into my gown's pocket and dialed Dionne's number.

I contacted him for many times but his phone was off. Jayna tapped my shoulder and gave me her assuring smile. "Dionne is fine. Don't worry. Masyado ka lang talagang matagal na nawala but he is fine", she assured me. I gave her a small smile as response. We started working. I did five surgeries na halos two hours each natapos kaya nang makalabas ako sa OR, sinuot ko agad ang doctor's gown ko at tinawagan ulit si Dionne but like earlier, he's unattended.

"Meryenda tayo doc, 'di ka pa nagla-lunch", Karlo said at pinakita ang dala niyang two boxes ng pizza.

"Sino bumili?", I asked them nang makalapit ako sa kanila. Lahat ng nurses and doctors ay kumuha rin ng pizza.

"Si Gallastian", Jayna replied. I looked at her. "Ayun 'oh", at nginuso niya si Gal na nasa likuran namin. Gal walks towards us. He gave me a smile.

"Ano'ng ganap mo at nagpa-pizza ka?", I asked him as I took a bite on the slice of pizza I am holding.

"I got informed that you're back so there you go", he answered. All of them thanked him dahil sa pizza at naubos rin naman namin agad kahit naka-isa lang naman ako. "I'll go now", he said. I nodded at him.

"Dr. Colonel, you'll assist Dr. Santos for his two consecutive surgery. The two patients have appendicitis", Nurse Melinda informed me. I nodded at her. "The surgery will start after five minutes", she added. I headed to my office to remove my doctor's gown tutal naka-scrubs pa rin naman ako. I get my phone again to see if Dionne texted me but I received nothing. I sighed and went to the operation room for another two surgeries.

"Let's go", Jayna said. Katatapos lang ng duty namin and she wants to drink soju with me. "Just try drinking soju", she suggested. I instantly shook my head.

"I want to live longer", I told her nang makalabas kami sa ospital. She pulled me to a korean restaurant. "Ramyeon", I said my order.

"Why ramyeon? Try the others!", she exclaimed. I rolled my eyes.

"Ano bang problema sa ramyeon?", I asked her but she just shrugged. She shook her head and sinabi na ang order namin. I get my phone in my bag and dialed Dionne's number again. Its still off.

To: Dionne

Hey, pick up your phone, mahal. I tried calling you since earlier.

"He's fine. Don't worry", Jayna said nang makita siguro niya ang pangamba sa mukha ko. Of course, I am worried, wala akong balita kay Dionne simula nang hindi ako pumasok then nang pumasok naman na 'ko, siya ang wala.

"Sana", I wished.

"Wait for him like what he did to you", Jayna said while holding my hands and tried to make me feel better.
