When we entered the ER, I immediately went to the hybrid room where my lola is then I saw her lying on a bed, unconscious. I didn't move, I felt numb by just looking at her. I even saw my mother and cousins talking to me but it seems that I got deaf. I can't hear them.

I felt weak.

I want to run and escape but then I remember my promise to lola. That I'll be her doctor, that I'll heal her.

"Kakapit ako dahil ikaw ang magiging doktor ko. Kakapit ako, pangako"

That was my cue to move, I went near her. I saw Dionne beside my lola worriedly looking at me. Sumakay ako sa hospital bed at sinubukan na i-revive siya.

Kumapit ka lola, nangako tayo sa isa't isa.

"Vitals?", I asked Karlo almost out of breath. I didn't heard his response. I eyed him. "Vitals, Karlo!", I snapped.

"Unstable, doc", he replied. I still pump her chest.

Please, bumalik ka.

"Get tha ambu bag now", I ordered but no one dared to move. Nandun lang sila, nakatayo. "Didn't you hear me?!", I shouted at them.

"Mahal...", Dionne whispered and hold my hand but I stopped it.

"Just get the fucking ambu bag and let's resuscitate her", I growled at them. Why aren't they moving?! My lola will die if we do nothing.

"Thasia", Gal called me. I'm in a verge of crying but I still do compression to her. Kailangan niya bumalik, hindi ko pa siya napapagaling 'e. Hindi niya pa kami pwedeng iwan.

"Do something!", I yelled. "She has still a heartbeat! She's still breathing! Pucha, magsikilos kayo!", I said on the top of my lungs.

"Makina na lang ang bumubuhay sa kaniya", Andeng said. I eyed her and shook my head. No! Fucking no! Hindi niya pa kami iiwan.

"Don't revive her", Gal said. I glared at him. What the fuck is he up to?!

"Do you hear yourself Gallastian?!", I scowled.

"Mahal...", Dionne tried to reach me but I didn't let him. I just do compression, kahit ilang oras pa 'ko magcompression dito basta mabuhay lang siya.

"She wanted to rest, anak", mama said. She hold my hand to made me stop. "She signed a paper na kapag naging kritikal na siya, ayaw niya nang ma-revive", she added.

"What?!", I hissed.

"Sa una pa lang, alam na ni lola na dadating ang araw na 'to. Alam niya na mamamatay na siya", Andeng said. I stopped pumping her chest. Hindi ko kinakaya ang naririnig ko sa kanila.

"She signed a DNR?", I asked them if lola signed a Do-Not-Resuscitate form. Kapag may consent ng pasyente, wala ng magagawa ang doktor. "And you gave your approval?!", I asked them, disbelief. Tiningnan 'ko ang nanay ko dahil siya ang mas may karapatan na ibigay ang approval niya para sa DNR.

"She wanted it", Gal interrupted.

"She wanted to live", I insist. "She promised me na lalaban siya dahil ako ang magiging doktor niya. She promised me!".

"We told you, she even said na kapag darating ang ganito, 'wag na siyang buhayin pa", Andeng said.

"Paano niyo nasasabi 'yan?", I asked them.

"Mahirap pero ito yung gusto ni lola", Andeng replied. I shook my head in disbelief. They're unbelievable.

"Anak...", mama called. Anger started to rose up and invading my whole system.

"You should stopped her", I said to her.

"Announce your patient's death, doc", Karlo said. Tears started flowing on my eyes. She's not just a patient for me...she's my grandmother.

"Time of death...", hirap na hirap akong sabihin ang oras. Ayoko pa. Ayoko pa siyang bitawan. I kneel down para magka-level na kami, I hold her hands tightly. "...11:59 PM", I declared and I cried hard. "Lola...", I called her name. Baka kasi bumalik pa siya. Baka kasi marinig niya pa 'ko.

My grandmother, my bestfriend, my human diary has left me already at 11:59 PM.

It felt like I'll lost my sanity. Durog na durog na 'ko.
