"Girl, may emergency patient tayo", Jayna snapped her fingers infront of me. I quickly get back into my senses and hold my stethoscope. I gathered enough air before going back to work. I still can't get in touch with Dionne. I don't know why. Ugh!

To: Dionne

Mahal, you want me to go to your house? Please reply. I love you.

"Bring the defibrillator and an IV fluid", I ordered them. I tried to erase what's bothering me to focus on my work. I checked my patient thoroughly and after that proceed to another patients. I performed three consecutive surgeries.

"Cut", I ordered and Jayna, as my first assistant, cut it. "Great work everyone", I told the people inside the operation room. "Transfer her to the ICU", I said and dispose the surgical mask, gown and gloves.

"Ano'ng balita?", Jayna asked as soon as we went back to the ER. Sumandal kami sa information desk para makapagpahinga sandali.

"Still nothing", I replied.

"Did you ask Calvin about him?", she asked.

I shook my head. "I'll ask him later", I said.

"Birthday mo na bukas tapos second year niyo pa", she uttered. I sighed but tried to smile. I went back to work and performed my fifth surgery for today's duty. While I am in my office, I glanced at my phone. Nagbabakasali na iilaw 'to at makikita ang pangalan ni Dionne sa screen. I grabbed it para i-message siya.

To: Dionne

Mahal, I'm worried. Please reply as soon as you read this. I love you.

I sighed as I put down my phone. Tapos na naman ang duty 'ko kaya kinuha 'ko na ang bag ko para umalis. I guess I need to see Vino, Dionne's co-worker in the restaurant.

"Oh, doktora!", Vino said as soon as he saw me walking towards him. I smiled and greeted him. Tama lang yung dating 'ko kasi hindi pa gaano'ng karami yung tao sa restaurant .

"Si Dionne?", I asked him and roam my eyes to find him pero walang Dionne ako'ng nakita.

"Hindi rin namin alam, ilang araw na nga siya di pumapasok 'e", he replied and looked at Bent. "Pare, si Dionne ba, may balita ka?", he asked him. Bent looked at our side then he stopped mopping the floor.

He shrugged. "Malay ko rin pare. Bakit?", he asked.

"Hinahanap ni Anasthasia 'e", Vino replied. "Wala talaga kaming balita sa kaniya", he said when he faced me.

I gave them a small smile. "Sige, salamat", I said and umalis na sa restaurant. I took a cab para makauwi. While on my way, tiningnan 'ko ulit ang phone ko. I sighed by just seeing na walang reply from him.

"Anak, nagluto ako ng chicken curry 'oh", mama said nang madaanan ko ang dining area. I looked at her and saw Architect Nath beside her.

"Thanks but I have no appetite", I replied but I felt her hands on my arm. I looked back at her and saw her eyes pleading me. "Please, I'm tired", I said. She started removing her hands on me, slowly.

"Anak, hindi pa rin ba tayo okay?", she asked me.

"Ma, not this time. I'm tired", I replied at hindi na siya hinayaan na makasagot pa. I did my night routine and when I am ready to bed, I get my phone, but still no reply from him. I sighed again.
