After that scenario, I just focus myself on the meeting even though alam ko na nasa likod ko siya. Gosh, Thasia, it's been seven years. Affected ka pa rin? Baka nga may asawa na 'yan. Umayos ka! Work ang pinunta mo sa Pilipinas at hindi kung ano.

"Dr. Colonel", Dr. Santos snapped. "Are you listening?", he asked.

"Yes, sir?", I asked.

"About the surgery of Dr. Hermosa, you'll be the head surgeon", he said. I just looked at him. I am aware na isa ako sa magiging surgeon ni Dr. Hermosa but I didn't expect na I'll be the head.

"Why me?", I asked. Dr. Santos's brows knitted.

"Why not you?", he asked back. "You have been a surgeon in US for many years so we trust you about this. You're okay with it right?", he said, waiting for my answer.

"Yes...", I replied. The meeting lasted for an hour nang mag-adjourned na si Dr. Santos. I get my bag but I saw Dr. Fracio approaching his superior.

"Dr. Santos, the OR must be open for everybody. Patient is a patient. And I am aware that you knew that", I heard Dr. Fracio said.

"We already talked about it Dionne, 'wag mo na sana kontrahin pa. VIP patients are-"

"-are what? Are your priorities? No, sir! I'll sign a petition about this and you can't stop me", he said and then tinalikuran na si Dr. Santos. He saw me looking at them pero nagtuluy-tuloy siya sa paglabas.

"I'm seeing you to him, Anasthasia, yung palaban na doktor", Dr. Santos said. "That was like you many years ago", he said, smiling. I gave him a small smile before excusing myself. Nakita ko pa siya na nasa tabi lang ng elevator.

"You're back for good?", he asked me when we're inside the elevator. May distance naman so okay lang but still we're just the two of us in here.

"Not really...", I replied.

"So, iiwan mo ulit ako?". Napatingin ako sa kaniya but when I saw his eyes, napaiwas rin agad ako ng tingin. I didn't replied hanggang sa makarating kami sa floor ng ER.

"Mommy!". Napatingin ako kay Entrice na tumatakbo papunta sa'kin then I saw her father behind her.

"What are you doing here, baby?", I asked. I felt Dr. Fracio's gaze on us. "Migs, bakit kayo nandito?", I asked him instead.

"Entrice wanted to see you", he replied.

I saw Entrice pouted. "Don't you want to see me?", she asked.

"Of course, I want to". Kinarga ko si Entrice nang mapatingin siya kay Dr. Fracio.

"Mommy, doctor rin po 'oh", she uttered in a joyful manner. "Hi doctor!", she greeted him. Tiningnan ako ni Dr. Fracio bago ibaling ang tingin kay Entrice. He smiled at her.

"Hi cutie", he greeted back.

"Mommy, he called me cutie 'oh. I'm so kilig", Entrice giggled.

"Let me carry her", Miguel said at binigay ko na rin si Entrice sa kaniya.

"Mommy, we're going to a playground. Will you come with us?", Entrice asked me.

"I still have something to do, baby. See you in the house na lang, okay?", I said.

She made a sad face and looked at her father. "Daddy", she cried. "Let's go na. I wanna play!", then she became cheerful again.
