I stay by her side making sure she didn't fall or trip as everyone comes back to the main room and sit down I help Kanae as she had trouble with her leg

Rengoku explains loud as ever
"It broke my leg during its first attack I managed to fight the demon the whole time but it just made my leg worse"

"It seems strong, now that I think about it they sent two pillars to defeat one demon was it an upper moon," I ask
"It was believed to be since no demon slayer could beet it but it was just one of similar strength a real upper moon would have been way harder to fight," Kanae tells me
"T-then if this demon has a similar strength to moon demons shouldn't we expect there to be more" Kanroji adds her thoughts

I get up and walk with Rengoku and Kanroji too the door

They start walking away so I go back home inside to where Kanae was

We go to prepare some tea for everyone but when we get back we saw Kanae cuddling with Kanao and Shinobu scolding her

She sounds a bit angry

I say as I put a tray down with tea on it

"It seems like it it's perfectly fine to hug your younger siblings, see" I hug Sumi Kiyo and Naho in a big group hug

Kanae laughs at the seen and eventually after the hugging was all done we were finally able to sit down and enjoy are drinks.
I look over at Kanao and see her sitting there staring at her cup not moving

She says in a monotone voice it's been a year since she came here and she has gotten better she has shown some emotion at times, not a lot but it's still an improvement, unfortunately she still needs one of us to tell here or the coin to know what to do
"well then since your legs broken your not allowed to do any work until your perfectly healed" I hear Shinobu tell Kanae
"but I can still work"
"nope this week we will all take care of you" I say
"siding with Shinobu again Hikari-chan, why is everyone against me"

She tries to stand up but I hold her down

She looks away I swear I saw her face go pink for a second before she looked away

She looks back at me her face red
"your face is red don't tell me you have a fever to" I put my hand on her head to check her temperature and her face is now as bright red as human possible

"idiot" shinobi says
"not this again! Just tell me what I did wrong"
"if you can't figure it out yourself your even more of an idiot" she says
"Shinobu you've been really harsh lately"

"well we better get to work for today, Kanae just call if you need anything"

And after that we got to doing everyday house chores and training eventually the sub was starting to set and Kanae and I were sitting looking out into the courtyard

"you tired" I ask

I put her head on my lap
"eh w-what are you doing"
She says face red
"y-you did this for me before so I'm just returning the favour"
"ara are are you embarrassed Hikari-chan" she teases after regaining her composurere
