I watched from the doorway as Zayn threw clothes around his room in a desperate attempt to pack for his trip that he leaves on tomorrow. I smiled before knocking lightly on the door, he waved me in without looking up. I tiptoed inside before sitting lightly on his bed.
"So bootcamp then?" I asked
"Yep." He replied, stopping and scratching his head "Can I have some help packing Bex?"
I nodded and started folding the clothes in his duffle bag neatly in a pile, he smiled at me gratefully, I returned it. I'm trying my hardest to be the supportive twin here but it's very hard, the last time he went away for more than a couple days things didn't go well for me, to say the least.
Yeah of course they didn't, your pathetic
Zayn continued packing, he made a pile of clothes that he needed and I folded them, that was just our system. I was lost in my thoughts about what I was going to do for the week while he's away, my thoughts were interrupted by Zayn tapping me on the shoulder.
"Hm?" I asked
"Uh I was thinking." He said "I know you don't particularly like staying here by yourself so how about when I'm away you get someone to move in temporarily?"
I thought about it for a while, he's right, I absolutely hate it when I have to stay here by myself because I have so many bad memories being here by myself.
"Um who though?"
Nobody would want to move in with you
"I don't know Bex, one of your friends from school?"
I finished folding all of his clothes and packing them neatly into his suitcase, I slammed it shut with satisfaction. Suddenly the perfect person came to mind.
"I think I've got someone."

Zayn was out getting groceries and I was sitting at the kitchen bench trying to decide whether or not to ask her to stay with me while our brothers are at bootcamp.
Why bother? She's just going to say no
I shook away the negative thoughts and picked up my phone before opening Instagram. I opened direct messages and searched her name, I clicked on it before taking a deep breath and typing a message. I shook my head before backspacing it, after five minutes I finally decided on a message and sent it.
BeccaGMalik - Hey Ambria, do you wanna meet me for coffee/tea at Circe Cafe?
I sighed and put my phone back down on the bench, a second later it buzzed, I hesitantly picked it up before looking at my notification. I tapped into it before reading the message that Ambria replied with
AmbriaS07- Hey Becca, that sounds lovely! Does tomorrow at 11 suit you?
I smiled before typing a reply and sending it off.
BeccaGMalik - Tomorrow at 11 sounds perfect. See you then!
A couple minutes later she sent back a thumbs up, I smiled thank goodness, I put my phone back down before picking up my book and beginning to read. I was reading Pride and Predjudice and drinking my coffee that I made as I entered the world of Elizabeth Bennet, Jane Bennet, Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley. The door opened and Zayn entered carrying three groceries bags, I didn't look up as I was to engrossed in my book until he plonked a bag in front of my face. I looked up with a start before shoving him playfully, he simply laughed and started unpacking the bags, without him asking I put away my book and started helping him. He smiled gratefully at me, I returned it while we worked in sync, stocking up the fridge and the cupboards. We had unpacked half the bags before I started talking.
"Um I'm meeting someone to ask them if they want to move in temporarily." I announced
"That's great Bex" Zayn replied "Who?"
I know he'll probably think it's a bad idea but it's the only person I could think of who would even consider saying yes.
"Ambria Styles, the girl I met at the audition." I told him nervously
He stopped moving and looked at me in the face seriously, searching to see if I was joking, and I assure I was not.
"Are you serious?" He asked "You don't even know her."
I stopped unpacking the groceries and turned to him, my face deadly serious.
"Of course I'm serious!" I replied, my temper rising "It makes sense! Her brother is going to bootcamp as well, so I thought why not. Besides she's the only one I know enough to ask!"
His face softened, he knows I find it a little hard to make new friends ever since the incident and he also knows it's hard on me as well.
Nobody would even want to be friends with you. Zayn can't wait to leave
No Zayn loves me, I argued with the stupid voice in my head that sounds a lot like his.
No he doesn't, he's ashamed of you
I shook the voice away, sometimes it's pointless to even try to reason with it because it never goes away and it usually is right. Although I know better then to doubt my brother-sister relationship with Zayn.
"What about Ellie?" He asked
I shook my head instantly, Ellie was away with her family and she wouldn't be allowed to considering we don't technically live with any adults. Our parents are literally across the hall from us but they thought we might want a bit of independence. Zayn sighed and I knew I had won him over, I didn't even need to pull out the puppy dog eyes.
"Thank you Zayn!"
I wrapped him a big hug and he chuckled before wrapping his arms around me and squeezing tightly. I'm definitely going to miss him alot.

I was sitting in a booth at the Circe cafe, a mug of coffee in my hands as I waited anxiously for Ambria to show up.
She's not going to come. Why even bother, she doesn't want to associate with a worthless whore like you
No she will come, I hope, maybe she just got stuck in traffic or maybe she had to catch a bus and it ran late or something. A waitress walked over to me with a kind smile on her face, I looked up at her.
"Hey Darlin'." She said kindly "Did you order a chocolate eclair?"
I nodded and she placed it down in front of me, I thanked her and she smiled kindly before walking away. I had another sip of coffee as my leg started bouncing, I stared at the eclair, doubt seeping into my stomach.
You're fat already so why eat it? You don't need the calories.
I shook away the voice with a sigh but decided against eating the eclair, or at least maybe I'll share it with Ambria, that is if she comes. As if on cue the little bell dinged as someone walked through the door, we made eye contact, she smiled and walked over to me before sitting down. We slipped into an easy conversation about how the boys were going to go at bootcamp. I offered her half of the eclair which she declined at first but I insisted, eventually she caved. She ordered a tea which came not long after and I knew I couldn't prolong it any longer. I sighed and prepared myself for what was to come.
"Ambria I'm going to just come out with it." I started "There is actually a reason I asked to come meet me here. I was wondering if you would like to temporarily move in with me?"
