Demi's pov
*one month later*
Phoenix is slowly getting back to feeling better. She's definitely a lot more comfortable with me and I'm beginning to see her personality more.
"I don't wanna." She whines dramatically.
"The sooner we go the sooner we can come home and watch movies." I say.
She lets out the most dramatic sigh causing me to laugh, "Come on Nix."
"Ughhhhhhhhh." She says dramatically getting out of the bed.
I pick her up and carry her upside down causing her to erupt into a fit of laughter. I smile and don't set her down until I have to open the front door.
I lock the front door behind us and lead the way to the car. She gets into the passenger seat and gets buckled up as I get into the drivers seat and do the same.
"Play some of your music, I want to hear some new stuff." I say.
She's got so many artists in her phone I've never heard of and she's introducing me to so much good music. But I'm also learning her more as I listen to her music.
"Ok." She says.
I hear a song and look at it playing to see it's heavydirtysoul by twenty one pilots, "Wait for the first verse. I got this." She says.
I listen to her speak so quickly I'm not even sure if it'd English and she laughs, "You don't know twenty one pilots do you?" She giggles.
"I do not." I confirm.
"You've been missing out. They are my favorite band. I didn't ever think I'd find a band better than one direction, but once they left I moved to twenty one pilots fandom. It's been a good time since." She says.
"You'll have to show me more of their music and teach me about them." I say.
"Ok there's only two members, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Josh plays the drums but wasn't actually the original drummer. He has been friends with Tyler since they were kids and came in after Chris left several years ago. When Josh come in it wasn't long after that they started having some success. Tyler is the vocalist, pianist, ukulele player, and bassist. Tyler is with Jenna and Josh is with Debby Ryan. The fandom doesn't really like Halsey because everyone thought they were together and didn't like it after Debby and Josh broke up for a short period of time. I don't have a problem with her, but lots do. I'm probably biased because badlands is a good album. They are from Columbus, Ohio. Their albums have a storyline. This album is about blurryface. Blurryface represents Tyler's insecurities and anxieties and isn't a good person. He controls Tyler. Tyler's the mastermind behind the stories, music videos, and all that. Josh just drums and doesn't know all the lyrics to their songs which is kinda funny." She says.
Information, noted. I have a feeling it'll need to be if I want to understand when she talks about twenty one pilots.
"So what's your favorite song by them?" I ask.
"Trees. It's a more sad song, but it's a special song. It's the one they close with and the whole fandom knows. Confetti canons, jumping, and lots of tears." she says.
"I want to hear that one." She says.
"I'll play the live version. It's more powerful." She says.
There's silence between us until the song plays and I listen to the very acoustic song. Or what I thought was acoustic. It quickly turns into much more.
