Narrator's POV

Each one of them was amazed at how a 15-minute drive could let Jin make best friends with a 14-year-old teenager. Like, aren't teens supposed to be bratty and difficult?

Jin and Hwan were lost in their own world. While everyone sat down on the couch, Jin took Hwan to the guest room they had set up for him. Jin showed Hwan to the room and left him alone to set his things up.

Jangmi - Hwan's POV

Mom, I reached Uncle Yoongi's house. What should I do now? I sat down on the bed placed in the room. The room consisted of a queen-sized bed, a study desk, 2 Closets and a fairly big bathroom.

This was enough for me to live in. I had been travelling the whole day, and so I decided to lock the door before going for a bathe.

Meanwhile downstairs

Narrator's POV

After Jin came down, everyone gathered around at the dining table to discuss what happens next. Namjoon asked Jin, "Hwan is in his room right?"

Jin nodded and said, "Yes, and I'm sure that he must be tired after travelling this much and would be taking a bathe. I think he'll need some time to himself. We'll let him be till dinner" A collective noise of agreement rose.

Jungkook looked at everyone and said, "I think the first thing we should do for now is let him grieve for a while and let him get used to the new environment. As far as I remember the next school year will start in 3 to 5 months. We can admit him in that school and continue his education."

Everyone looked at Yoongi and waited for an answer. Yoongi spoke hurriedly, "Of course. You guys are as much of his family as I am. You don't have to take my permission to make decisions for him."

Everyone felt a surge of pride in them. Yes! They would help Yoongi take care of Hwan. Jin stood up and said, "Well, it's been a long day and I'm too tired to cook. We'll order takeout today. Now everyone go and rest"

Jin turned to Yoongi and said, "Yoongi you go and talk to Hwan. You've barely spoken a word to him. Show him that you care about him or else he might feel that you've taken a dislike to him the way you reacted"

Jangmi - Hwan's POV

I got out of the shower and opened my bag. I hadn't brought any clothes suitable for nightwear. I had no other option than wearing a pair of jeans and a T-shirt to sleep.

I sighed at my foolishness and got dressed. I decided to set up my room. I opened my bag and took out my mother's computer and placed it on the study desk. I ran my hand over the top of the computer, remembering some happy memories.

I opened my suitcase and took out the few clothes I had and placed them in the closet, making a mental note to go out tomorrow and buy new ones. I had just finished setting my clothes when I heard a knock.

I stood up and opened the door. It was Uncle Yoongi.

I motioned for him to come in

I motioned for him to come in. I could feel the awkwardness coming off him. I smiled and asked him, "Did Jin hyung send you to talk to me? And I presume it would be to not let me have any kinds of misunderstandings and for us to bond. Right?"

I could see the shock very clearly on his face. I had the ability to understand people by observing them.

A few seconds later, Uncle Yoongi found his voice and said, "You are like your mom

A few seconds later, Uncle Yoongi found his voice and said, "You are like your mom. She could figure out people easily too." I nodded. He sat down on my bed beside me.

He looked me in my eye and said, "Hwan, I will speak very frankly to you. I'm not good at expressing my feelings and emotions. I'm not good at socializing. I don't have the ability to bond with anyone on my own. It has always been the other person who works hard to bond with me."

He took a small pause before continuing, "All these guys. How are we so close? We've been living together for 10 years. I never opened up to them. It took years for them to be able to communicate with me freely. It created many problems between us."

"I don't want us to have the same kinds of problem, Hwan. And so if ever you feel that I've done something. Don't hesitate. Just tell me straight to my face. Alright?" I nodded.

What Uncle Yoongi did next was totally unexpected. He came forward and hugged me. I felt a complete sense of comfort and familiarity take over me. At first, I stayed rigid but soon relaxed and gave n to the hug. We stayed like that for a few minutes.

Uncle stood up to leave. As he was leaving, he turned back with a confused look on his face and said, "Why are you wearing these clothes? You didn't bring any comfortable nightwear?"

Guilt took over me. I bowed my head and slowly shook it. Uncle Yoongi sighed and said, "You can go into my room and take something to wear from my closet. After dressing up come down for dinner. Today's been tiring, so we're ordering takeout." I nodded and watched his back until it disappeared down the hall.
