BTS Household : Hwan- Jangmi's Room
Hwan - Jangmi's POV
It's been 2 weeks since the kidnapping incident. Everything has been as calm as anticipated. My plan has been working out rather well too. Kwang is quite efficient as well. He does everything assigned to him perfectly. I've been working behind the screen and found a great deal of stuff that could lead me to the mastermind. I started by preparing a list of people my mum had been in contact with. There were quite a few.
I skimmed through the list and found the odd ones. The odd ones were those who were contacted frequently. It was obvious that the ones frequently contacted were important in some way or the other. One thing that I found weird was that all the contacts I had listed out lead me to a dead end. A dead end named Daniel Krasinski. It was pretty obvious that this was not his real name. I set my mind on him now.
I spent a lot of time on Daniel Krasinski. He had hidden his tracks quite well but I managed to get everything about him except his real name. This guy wasn't a normal local gangster or something. He was something we'd call a big deal. These kinds of people are the type who could get you out of this world without a trace.
I sigh and skim through the information I found about Daniel. He had been active since 1996 when he was just 16 years old. It seemed that he had gone inactive from 2004 to...2009 for 6 years. Something seemed weird here. 2004 was when Mom married Dad and 2009 was the year Dad died.... I wonder if this was an actual coincidence or not.
I looked at Daniel's picture. He looked quite familiar. I just couldn't pinpoint where and when had I seen him. His facial features seemed very familiar. I tried to think hard and remember if I had seen these features before. It was all blurry. My head hurts from staring at the screen for a long time. I set everything aside and open my closet. I suddenly missed mom quite a lot and decide to open the albums she had given me.
There were two albums. I opened the first one, it was filled with her childhood photos. I went through the pictures. Nearly all of them were of her and Uncle Yoongi. The second album was of me and her. All the photos were from the day I was born to the day mom left. It seemed that she had been updating the album very often.
I placed both albums back into my closet. I had gone through the albums twice to check if there were any pictures of my dad. I found two pictures of him. One that was taken on their wedding day and the second one was on my 1st birthday. I lie down on my bed and fall asleep wondering why there weren't any pictures of my dad anywhere in the album
Yoongi's POV
Everything has been calm since Jin hyung and I were kidnapped. It just seems weird. It's like something should happen. Considering how the past few months have been, it is way too calm right now. I shake my head and sigh to myself. My phone lights up with a message. I open it and see that Hobi is calling us in the conference room for a meeting with PD-nim.
I make my way to the conference room and settle down with the others. Everyone except Hobi is present there. I groan and lay my head on the table,"Where is Hoseok? And as far as I remember PD-nim hasn't scheduled a meeting today. Why are we even here... Ugh!"
Suddenly I feel a flick to my head and turn to see Hoseok standing behind me. "Hey! Why did you hit me?" He rolls his eyes at me and goes up to the head of the table and motions for us to settle down. He sits down on the chair and looks at us, "You guys are so careless and stupid! Can't even remember anything except lyrics and choreographies!"
We look at Hobi in confusion. Suddenly, Taehyung and Jimin turn towards each other with a weird look before turning towards us and speaking the same thing together, "It's Hwan's birthday in 2 days!" Hobi rolls his eyes and sighs, "Finally! At least 'someone' remembers..." All of us nod in realization. Hobi goes on to explain why he called us. He had organized a meeting for us to plan Hwan's surprise party. The meeting went on for an hour.
I felt a birthday party would be good. After all we needed something different in our daily lives. We go about the same routine every day. I go back to my room to find a birthday gift for Hwan. I couldn't help but feel that this birthday party will bring some kind of trouble along with it.
I decided to not ponder on bad thoughts and focus on planning the perfect birthday party for Hwan. I was given the duty of finding out if Hwan had any friends. The first person that came to my mind was of course Rosa. I called her and told her about our birthday party plans. She showed an unusual amount of excitement for our plans and was in.
I asked her if Hwan had any friends. She thought for a while and said,"His mother is his best friend and me. Hwan's always been a loner. He doesn't trust anyone easily. I felt quite surprised when Hwan told me about you people. He trusts you more than himself." I felt a proud smile take place over my lips. I ended the call with Rosa and told her that I would send her the details once everything was decided. I turned my attention to finding the best gift I could for Hwan.
Narrator's POV
Two days passed by in a flash. Hwan was too absorbed in his own world to notice the looks everyone was giving to each other. The morning of his birthday, he came down and ate breakfast while reading something on his phone. He did not even bother to look up from his phone. He ate his breakfast and went back to his room.
Everyone was shocked as they saw this. What kind of teenager or overall human being is not excited on their birthday? Jin spoke up as soon as they heard Hwan's door close, "Yah! Does he even remember it's his birthday? How can he be so forgetful? He forgot his own birthday? Kids these days!" Everyone nodded in agreement.
They decided to go on with their original plan. Jimin and Namjoon were going to take Hwan out for movies while the others would decorate the house for Hwan. Jimin went up to Hwan's room and knocked. He waited for a few minutes but there was no movement. He called out Hwan's name as well, but once again no response. He opened the door to see Hwan lying on his bed staring at the ceiling. It seemed as if he hadn't noticed Jimin yet. Jimin went over to Hwan and waved his hand over Hwan's face.
He had never seen someone so lost. He leaned over Hwan and positioned his face exactly in front of Hwan's face before shouting loudly, "Min Hwan!" This snapped Hwan out of his thoughts who in turn punched Jimin on his nose out of surprise. Jimin yelled out in pain and staggered back while holding his now bleeding nose, "What the hell Hwan!? What did you even punch me for!? I didn't even do anything! Ow!"
Hwan immediately stood up and started apologizing to Jimin, "Oh God! I'm so sorry hyung! It was just on instinct. I've learned to fight. So I have a bad habit of punching whenever I'm caught off guard... I am so sorry. Oh, No! It's bleeding! Come on." Jimin unknowingly moved back as Hwan approached him. Hwan was quite hurt by this. He stood far from Jimin and asked him to come downstairs to get his nose looked at.
