44. What To Do?

Taehyung's POV

Everyone went back to their own stuff after Hwan ran back to his room. I felt like something was wrong. He was literally pale when he ran back to his room. It was as if he had seen a ghost. I wonder what could've he seen that he reacted like this.

I sigh and walk out of my room to the stairs in time to see Hwan stumbling. My eyes widened in shock. It looked like he was dizzy or something. He was shaking and sweating. I called out to him. If he kept on moving like that he would fall down the stairs. I started to walk quickly towards him while calling out to him. He turned and kept looking around.

It was as if he did not know who called out to him. His eyes were kind of glazed. He definitely wasn't feeling well. He was holding onto the railing tightly. It seemed like he was barely holding on. Just as I reached, he lost his grip. Luckily, I managed to catch him before he fell down the stairs. As soon as I caught him, he lost all of his balance.

I held him by his shoulders and balanced his weight on me properly before helping him down the stairs. I sat him down on the couch before calling out for the others, "Jimin! Jin hyung! Namjoon hyung! Yoongi hyung! Hobi hyung! Jungkook! Come down quickly!" I was scared out of my mind. What's happening to Hwan? In less than a minute, everyone came down asking questions. They stopped speaking as soon as they saw Hwan.

Narrator's POV

Everyone came rushing down as soon as they heard Taehyung screaming. Everyone was speaking together. Asking questions. Suddenly everyone stopped speaking. They saw Hwan looking pale and sick. He was shaking. Something was very wrong with him.

Namjoon immediately went near Hwan and asked him, "Hwan. Are you alright? What's wrong? What's happening?" They waited for him to reply but it seemed as if he hadn't heard them. Namjoon turned to the others wondering what to do.

Yoongi stared at Hwan wondering what was wrong with him when he suddenly realized it. He immediately spoke up,"He's having a panic attack." Everyone looked at Yoongi with surprise. How did he know it was a panic attack?

Yoongi looked at Hwan and walked over to him. He bent down near Hwan when he heard him mumbling. Yoongi immediately stood up and went into the kitchen and came back with a glass of water.

He placed the glass in Hwan's hand. Everyone saw Hwan shaking as he tried to open a bottle of pills. Yoongi took the bottle and the glass of water from Hwan. He took out a pill and placed it in Hwan's hand along with the water. His facial expressions suddenly changed. He put his hand on Hwan's forehead and neck, "He's starting to burn up. He's having a fever." Yoongi immediately left the room and went up the stairs.

Everyone kept looking at Yoongi. He was the calmest one out of them all. He knew what to do. He didn't panic. All of a sudden Jimin rushed forward and took the glass of water and the pill from Hwan's hand. Hwan was not able to control his shaking. Jungkook sat down beside Hwan and held him by his shoulders as soon as he saw Hwan lean to the side.

Jimin softly opened Hwan's mouth and placed the pill inside before raising the glass to his mouth and helping him swallow the pill. Hwan sighed a bit and relaxed before leaning onto Jungkook's shoulder.

Jimin placed the glass on the table and stood with the others. Hobi had started to panic. He looked to the others and said, "I think we should call the doctor or take Hwan to the hospital. But I don't think he'll be able to walk. So it's better to call the doctor here. I-"

Suddenly Hwan stood up and mumbled, "No! Don't call the doctor. I'll be fine..." while gripping the sofa for support. Jin walked over to Hwan and removed his hand from the sofa before hugging him. He sat down on the couch with Hwan and hugged him tight.

Everyone was still panicking and confused. Jin rolled his eyes and said, "I read somewhere that during panic attacks you can help people by hugging them or providing them some kind of touch to make them feel safe."

Jin suddenly looked down to Hwan who was resting on his chest. Hwan had grabbed onto Jin's clothes and hugged him tight as if it was his only way out. Jin's eyes softened at Hwan's actions. He sat up a bit more comfortably and lifted his legs onto the couch and let Hwan sleep comfortably in his embrace. Everyone's heart softened at the sight. Yoongi came down with a blanket and a pillow. He smiled at the sight. He placed the pillow behind Jin and covered both Hwan and Jin with the blanket.

Jin leaned over Hwan to check if he was asleep. Hwan had fallen asleep. Jin leaned back and watched as everyone settled down. "What happened exactly, Tae?" asked Yoongi. Everyone listened carefully as the same question was in their mind.

"I was coming downstairs when I saw him standing on the staircase holding the railing. He was pretty unbalanced. I felt like something was wrong, so I quickly went over to him. He lost his grip from the railing and was about to fall but I caught him in time. Then I brought him here before calling all of you."

Yoongi nodded in understanding. "Something must have happened. I've never seen him have a panic attack. And not this big." said Namjoon thoughtfully. A ball of guilt formed in Yoongi's body.

"He's had a panic attack before. Once." A collective sound of what was heard. "It was one or two days ago. He had a nightmare. And it wasn't something normal. It seemed like he had frequent nightmares. I'm usually awake at that time. I was coming down for some water when I heard him screaming. So I woke him up and helped him calm down then we went for a run."

Namjoon and Hobi looked at each other in realization as soon as Yoongi finished his sentence. "Oh! Yes, I remember. That day the both of you came back at around 4. He carried you back because you fell asleep. And then me, Namjoon and Hwan talked for a while-" said Hobi. Jin cut him off and said, "Yah! Talking from 4 to 7, 3 hours can not be defined as a while!" Namjoon and Hobi shared sheepish smiles proving Jin right.
