36. Plan Pioneered

BTS Household - Dinner Table

Hwan - Jangmi's POV

About an hour later I finally finished making lunch. I transferred everything to the dinner table. I went out to the living room and saw everyone sitting absorbed in their own thoughts.

Namjoon hyung was placing the cloth on Jin hyung's head while Uncle was asleep on Hobi hyung's shoulder. Hobi hyung was also asleep. Kookie and Jimin hyung were sitting and staring at the wall. TaeTae hyung was using his phone.

None of them seemed to notice me. I walked over to Jin hyung's side. Namjoon hyung looked up at me when I stopped him from changing the wet cloth. I took the cloth off Jin hyung's head and placed in the bowl. I checked Jin hyung's temperature. He wasn't feverish. I shook Jin hyung softly by his shoulders, "Jin hyung..... Wake up.....hyung..." He pressed his eyes tightly shut and murmured, "Let me sleep, Hwan."

I shrugged and said, "Okay then, you can sleep while we will have a nice lunch of kimchi stew and japchae." I turned to the others and said, "Come on, let's go eat. Jin hyung is going to have a fast today." I motion for everyone to follow. I place the plates in front of everyone and serve them. I see Jin hyung watching us.

I smile and say, "Hyung, if you're done with your 'fasting' then come here for lunch." He stood up and sat down with Joon hyung. I placed the fried eggs in front of him, "You need to eat this first." All of us knew how Jin hyung did not like eggs much. He wouldn't mind eating them in a dish. He dislikes all kind of dishes based on eggs. I knew it was going to be hard to convince him to eat this but it was worth a shot.

His face scrunched up with disgust, "I'm not eating the egg." I smile at him and say, "Hyung. You have an option either eat the egg then eat the japchae and kimchi or else I will forcefully feed you the egg and not give you the japchae or kimchi. It's your call." Everyone stared in shock as they saw Jin hyung eat the egg obediently and then serve himself the other food items.

I sigh feeling proud of myself. Mission Accomplished! After finishing lunch I sent everyone to their rooms to rest. It had been a long day. I cleaned the table and the kitchen and went into my room. Now was the time to start my plan. I closed the door and locked it to ensure my privacy. I called Kwang.

"Annyeonghaseyo Boss!"

"Annyeonghaseyo. Don't call me Boss. I'm younger than you. Just call me Hwan. Okay?"

"Okay. Why did you call me?"

"I have some things I need you to do. It has to be done in complete secret. And you have to make sure that no one knows about me being the leader. Tell your men that I called and gave up the leadership. Let them believe that you are the leader while you co-operate with me in secret."

It seemed like my words had put Kwang into shock. He was completely speechless. It took him a few minutes to reply.

"Okay. What do I have to do?

I spent 2 hours and explained my plan to Kwang in detail. From the first time I met him, I knew that he is very loyal. Once he is sure of where his loyalty lies, he will protect it at any cost.

I put the phone down after talking to Kwang. I laid down on the bed with my hand behind my head. If things continue to go the way I plan for them to go then it wouldn't be long before my mother is reunited with me. I close my eyes in satisfaction and sigh.

I lay like that for a while until I feel it. I hastily stand up and groan at the red spot on my sheets. I roll my eyes and grab a pair of sweat pants and my toiletries before stepping into the bathroom.

Namjoon's POV

I finished working on my new song Intro: Persona. I stand up feeling quite sore. I stretch a bit and decide to take a walk. I leave my room and roam around the house.

I reach Hwan's door and go in to talk to him. He might want to talk about what happened today. I knock at his door twice but there was no response. I open the door and enter his room. He was in the bathroom. I walk near his desk and see spots of blood on his bed.

My eyes widen in surprise. I go to the bathroom door and shout, "Hwan! Are you alright? Why is there blood on your bed? Are you hurt? What happened?" I hear some rustling but no answer. I bang the bathroom door again and again until I hear Hwan, "Hyung. Stop banging the door. Wait a minute."

I sighed in relief once I heard Hwan's voice and sat down on the chair. The bathroom door opened and Hwan stepped out with a tissue pressed to his nose. I immediately stood up and went to Hwan, "What happened to your nose Hwan? Why is there blood on your bed?" Hwan sighed and said, "Don't worry hyung! It's nothing. I sometimes have nose bleeds out of the blue. It's quite common for me now. It lasts for approximately 5 minutes only. And it's already been 10 minutes."

Hwan removed the tissue and showed it to me. "See. It stopped. No need to worry. I'll clean the sheets." I nodded in understanding. I smiled and said, "Okay. You should go and get this checked by a doctor. And take some rest. You've been working since morning. See you later." Hwan nodded and gave me a polite smile. I felt a nagging in my brain that Hwan was lying as I left his room and went back to mine.

Hwan - Jangmi's POV

Oh, God! It was such a close call! I was about to come out of the bathroom when I heard Namjoon hyung panicking about the blood on my bed. I was frozen with panic. How was I supposed to give an explanation about the blood?

Luckily I got an idea. I took out a tissue box from my cupboard. Namjoon hyung started banging on the door. He didn't stop until I told him to stop. I took out a tissue and put it to my nose. A nose bleed is the most believable. It took me some effort to get Joon hyung out. I locked the door and sighed. Thank God! I need to be more careful... I picked up the sheets and continued with my work.
