32. Location....

BTS Household - Living Room

Narrator's POV

Everyone settled down on the couch. Hwan was still confused about why they were worried about him. "Why are you guys worried about me? I'm fine now. I've taken some painkillers and I'm feeling great right now. Plus the bullet was removed by Rosa. There is nothing to worry about. I had checked the wound and it had missed my vital organs and there wasn't any infection. And Rosa is an excellent doctor typish person. She has treated my wounds before too. And I heal-"

Yoongi interrupted Hwan and said, "We've been searching for you for an hour! I woke up and did not find you in bed. I checked the whole house, no sign of you. I woke everyone up. We searched the whole house still no sign of you. And we were thinking about what to do next when you came out of the kitchen! Where the hell were you?"

Hwan face-palmed and said with a tone of realization, "Oh! I woke up around 3:00 am and wasn't able to sleep because of the pain. I saw you sleeping on the chair and covered you with a blanket and put a pillow behind your head and came downstairs. I took the pain killers. It would take some time for them to have an effect. I took a blanket and pillow and went out to the swing. I did not realize when I fell asleep. I woke up just now and came in."

Yoongi was about to say something when Jin said, "It's okay. Don't go to the swing in the middle of the night alone or without telling us. Okay?" Hwan nodded. Everyone stood up and went off to do their own work. Rosa took Hwan up to his room while Yoongi went to the studio to work on the song he had finished writing, Daechwita.

Hwan - Jangmi's Room

Hwan - Jangmi's POV

I sit down on my desk and start mom's computer. Rosa gave me her phone to find out more about the signal and went down to get me breakfast. I plugged in the pen drive and started to investigate the signal. Two minutes later, I found out the exact location of the signal. The location was in Seoul. I skimmed through the other details about the time and machine used to send the signal.

My face was scrunched up with confusion. Rosa came in with a plate of breakfast and placed it in front of me. "Eat this up. You can't take medicines on an empty stomach!" I picked up the plate and started eating while Rosa bent down beside me and stared at the screen. "The signal was sent from here?" I nodded and asked, "I think mom might be alive and in Seoul. I'll check where the signal exactly came from, and we can go investigate today itself!"

I finished my breakfast and stood up to prepare some things when "You're not going anywhere and neither am I. You want to investigate? Do it after you've healed! I don't need you dying or getting hurt again! Am I clear!?" I couldn't do anything except nod. After our conversation, Rosa went downstairs to talk to the others about something and told me to rest. She threatened me, "If I come back up and see you out of bed, I swear to god, I'll take away this laptop and your phone. Don't take this lightly." I whined at her out of frustration.

Downstairs

Yoongi's POV

Rosa gathered us all in the living room. She started speaking, "There are some things I need to talk to you all about. Hwan is practically my younger brother. I love him a lot. And I am willing to do everything for him. It's my impotency that I can't take him to live with me. I have to let him live here. Now, first things first. Thank you so much for taking care of him so nicely and lovingly. When he first told me about you guys, I was worried. But yesterday's and today's events cleared all my doubts regarding your sincerity."

All of us had proud smiles on our faces. Rosa continued, "But. That won't change the fact that I would literally kill you if I find out that you did something bad to Hwan or let something happen to him." The sudden change in Rosa's tone sent shivers down our spines. I was seated beside Jin hyung and saw his face turning red, "Yah you Rosa! How dare you say that! You think we don't love Hwan as much as you? You think we would hurt him!?"

My eyes widened in shock. A fight was going to break out between them if it went on. I watched as Rosa glared at Jin who immediately stopped speaking and sat back down. I tried my best to control my laughter. I have never seen Jin hyung stopping in the middle of his scolding and sitting down like an obedient child.

Rosa continued and said, "I don't say that you don't love him. I would feel more at peace if I know that I've made sure Hwan's in a good place with people who love him a lot." She said this specifically looking at Jin hyung and me. All of us nodded in understanding. Jin hyung stood up and did something we would've never expected him to do. He apologized to Rosa about coming to early conclusions and shouting. Rosa forgave him immediately. I smiled. You never know how one can change for someone they love. We looked at Rosa silently asking if she was done. I hope she's done. I want to sleep. She's not done.

"One last thing. I have to leave today. I'll be leaving after dinner today if you don't mind. The main thing is that you need to keep a very strict eye on Hwan. He must not leave the house until I say. He got shot because of some things related to his mother. It isn't my place to say what happened. But you must know that things are going differently than I had expected. Hwan will tell you whatever he thinks you should know about. Don't let him out of your sight or else he might even die. Don't let him know about this conversation. That's it. Uh...you can do whatever you want now."

Rosa smiled at us with gratitude and went upstairs to Hwan. We watched her go into Hwan's room and close the door. The gut feeling that Hwan is hiding something big just got stronger. I wonder when he'll tell us about how he got shot.
