22. What's your IQ?

BTS Household:- 2 Weeks Later

Jangmi - Hwan's POV

It's been a while, about 2 weeks since Mom left and I came to live with Uncle Yoongi. I refuse to believe that Mom is dead. She must be alive, she would be underground right now. And I know that she'll come back for me. I've always believed in her.

I haven't had a nightmare since then, but I haven't even been able to sleep. I can't sleep due to the fear that those horrible scenes will come in front of my eyes or something worse than that might come up.

I met Uncle Yoongi's friends - roommates. They've all been so accepting and fun. None of them treated me like an outsider. They took me in as one of them the moment they knew my identity.

I'm pretty happy here. Initially, I had my doubts about them. I thought that they might not like me and act as if they like me. But it hasn't been like that. They love me and I love them too. They are the family I never had. I've never been so happy.

Uncle Yoongi is not as extroverted and talkative I had expected as well as like him to be, but still, he's cool. We bond quite nicely. Even though we don't talk much, it's like we have an instant connection between us. We can understand each other without words.

As for Jin hyung, he is the best cook. I've learned quite a few recipes from him. And his dad jokes never fail to crack me up. It's become a habit for us to find out new Dad jokes and try it out on each other.

I love Jimin hyung and TaeTae hyung a lot. It's so fun to interact with them. I found out that they like watching anime a lot. And so we watch anime together. Both of them love to prank others. I've joined their little group where we prank the others.

For e.g., 2 days ago, we put a bit of soy sauce into Hobi hyung's sprite. He took a sip of his sprite and ran to the sink and spit it all out. We did not want Hobi hyung to know it was us. But his reaction was so funny that when we looked at each other we couldn't help it and burst out laughing. Hobi hyung did not talk to us till we bought him 3 sprites as an apology.

As for Joon hyung, he's quite fun too. We talked about a lot of things like crabs, English, the current economy and some other things. As for Kookie hyung, he showed me his exercise routine and taught me some cool moves.

Last but not the least, Hobi hyung is a freaking awesome dancer. He changes completely while dancing. He taught me a lot of dance moves. All styles. Hip-hop. Freestyle. Anything you say. We sit together and watch various dance covers on YouTube nearly every day.

Downstairs - Living Room

Narrator's POV

Hwan and Namjoon were sitting on the couch and talking. They were talking very seriously. The others were sitting nearby and watching them intently. Jungkook turned to the others and asked, "What do you think are they discussing today?"

Everyone muttered various things until Jin said, "I've been observing since the day this started. Their style of talking can tell you what they're discussing. For example, when they talk about crabs, their faces are not blank. It has some emotion. But when they are talking about something else, their backs are unusually straight and their faces are emotionless."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Yoongi who would usually not join their discussion added, "They have fixed discussions as per days. Tuesdays are for crabs. Thursdays are for electronics. Fridays are for politics and likewise. Today is a Saturday. On Saturdays, they talk about various topics. The topic depends on their attitude. If they're talking with smirks on their faces, it means they're talking in a friendly manner about a friendly topic. But if they have simple smiles, We. Must. Stop. Them."

Yoongi looked everyone in their eyes one after the other and said, "The simple smiles mean that they're talking about something with they don't agree on. They're getting on each other's nerves!"

Immediately everyone turned towards the pair sitting on the couch. Talking to each other. With, simple smiles. Everyone looked at each other before standing up and going near the pair. Each one of them settled down on the couch waiting for the pair to notice their arrival.

A few minutes passed before Jimin had had enough and cleared his throat loudly, which managed to snap the ignorant pair out of their small world. They had definitely been spending time with each other too much, for both of them yelled "What!?" at the same time.

Taehyung spoke up, "We want to know what you guys are talking about." Namjoon smirked while looking at Hwan and said, "We are talking about IQ. Hwan says that he has an IQ greater than mine. But I don't believe it. He doesn't have any certification"

Hwan turned to the others and said, "I have certification, but it's not here with me. It's at the place I previously lived in. But if you want, I can hack into the server which contains my information in a digital form to prove it."

They looked at each other and nodded, indicating their approval for Hwan to break into the servers. Hwan stood up and went to get his computer.

Each one of them was excited to see what Hwan came up with. They had their doubts about how Hwan would break into the server but nevertheless waited patiently for Hwan to come back down.
