50. Where To?

BTS Car

Narrator's POV

Jin turned to Jimin and asked, "Why did you shout!?" Everyone looked at Jimin who was sitting by the door on Taehyung's lap. "Do we even know where to go? Or are we just going to go around the whole city and look for him?"

Namjoon nodded his head and said, "He's right. We are just wasting our time. We don't even know where he could have gone. He might as well as have left the city......." Namjoon trailed off as he saw Hobi's expression. It seemed like Hobi had an idea. "He must have gone to the safe house! Because I'm sure he would need some supplies or whatever. He couldn't go without any preparation!"

A unanimous sound of agreement was heard. "But where is the safe house? And how are we even going to find the safe house?" asked Taehyung with a worried and disappointed look on his face. Yoongi, who had been quiet for a long time, took out his phone and said, "A while ago Rosa called me and sent me a few digits. She told me that if Hwan is in trouble I should call those digits. Maybe that can help us?"

Everyone nodded and watched as Yoongi dialed the numbers 2726 in his phone. As soon as he called the number, something popped up. "I can't understand this at all...." said Yoongi, squinting at the data displayed. Jungkook reached forward and took the phone from Yoongi's hand.

He scrutinized the data and looked up with a smile. "It's Hwan's live location straight from his phone! He is somewhere near Daejeon." Everyone felt a bit of relief. This was a great start! "Well, let's go. Daejeon isn't very far. It's about an hour away and I'm sure we can reach in time." said Jin before turning his attention towards the road and driving at the highest speed he could without putting anyone in danger.

Somewhere near Daejeon

Hwan's POV

It was hard to get to the station on foot. But I managed. I had to go to the safe house and get some guns and ammo. I had brought only two guns with me when I first came to Seoul and then left it for the others. I had to wait at the station for nearly half an hour for a train.

I got off the train and started walking to the safe house. The safe house was on the outskirts of Daejeon. I was about 5 minutes away from the safe house. I remembered how the last time I was here I ended up getting shot. I smiled at how everything started going down after that and quickened my pace.

It would seem a bit suspicious to see someone my age out late. It was quiet. Unusually quiet. I had a feeling that something was going to go terribly wrong. I took a deep breath and continued walking. My eyes darted around making sure nothing was wrong. Everything around me was completely still.

My heart was pounding. I knew something was wrong but I couldn't just put my finger on it. I prepared myself before walking towards the safe house. Just as I was about to go near the house, a rather tall figure came out of the shadows followed by 5 more. A total of six people came out and surrounded me.

I sighed at my fate. My hands were going to hurt quite a lot after I would finish dealing with them, after all I did not have any weapons except my hands. I dropped my bag to the ground and cracked my knuckles ready to fight, when one of the guys, the tallest one spoke, "Slow down Jangmi. We're here to talk if you cooperate. And if not things might get violent. You decide."

I did not reply and stared him dead in the eye to see what he would do. He decided to take my actions as a sign of cooperation and started to speak. "We know what you want. You want your mother back. Well, your father wishes to see you. So I hope you cooperate with us. If not your Uncle and his band mates might get into some trouble."

I stared at him weighing my options. Going with them would end up in death. God knows what Daniel wants from me. And not going will hurt Uncle and the others. "What if I don't want to see him?" I ask with eyebrows raised in provocation. The guy just smiled and motioned to his men. I felt movement behind me.

I sighed and spinned around to kick one of the men square in his jaw while elbowing another in his stomach. Immediately the others started attacking. The man who talked to me stood and watched as I fought with the men. I was doing well, but I was starting to lose. I wasn't going to go down without a fight.

This went on till the point when I was cornered by them. They were slowly advancing towards me ready to take me with force when a sudden burst of light appeared. A car had stopped itself with a screech between me and the men.

The sudden light made me close my eyes out of instinct. I opened my eyes and squinted at the light and tried to figure out the driver. I walked towards the car and immediately realized who it was and winced at the thought of what was going to happen.

Narrator's POV

They had been driving for nearly an hour, and we're about 10 minutes away from Hwan. Jin had maintained a good speed which helped them reach earlier than anticipated. The car was filled with silence. "How far are we now, Jungkook?" asked Jin while keeping his eye on the road.

"Take a right from here and a left at the first crossroad. It shows that Hwan is somewhere around there." said Jungkook, staring into Yoongi's phone. Jin nodded his head and continued driving. Just as they were about to reach, they saw a scene. Hwan was bleeding and was cornered by some men. "What do we do?" asked Taehyung with his eyes widened. Everyone remained silent.

Suddenly Jin pressed onto the accelerator and drove towards Hwan. He stopped the car between Hwan and the men. Hwan looked shocked. He slowly walked towards the car and stopped. It looked like he winced.

Everyone got out of the car immediately. Yoongi saw those men and took the gun from Jungkook and gave it to Hwan. Hwan kept his head down and accepted the gun. All of a sudden Hwan raised his head and shouted in a whisper, "What in the freaking world are you doing here!?"
