Chapter 32: My Biggest Mistake is...
"O, ikaw pala Leo." Natawa ako.
Humagikhik silang dalawa. Leo tilted his head into the stage. He caressed his hand into her waist and his lips found its way into her forehead. Samantha giggled when her boyfriend kissed her.
"Mauna na kami, cous," Leo said.
Tumango ako. "Enjoy dancing then."
"We'll wait for you there, Lia.
"I'm not dancing, Sam."
After that, the band started to play, singing prom music and their instruments ate the sound of the place. Some of the main lights opened and emitted golden light, it pierced into the b-stage and the screen in front is already in black.
The whole place is darker than before. The scented candles were never been so beautiful and majestic. I don't know what they're dancing but it's familiar to me. Smiles are printed on everybody's faces and they'd gracefully sway along with the tune of the band.
I saw Tito Amadeus and Tita Caroline walking towards the stage. I roamed the place again, Tito D. and his wife is already in the middle while Tito Delro and Tita Leila are standing beside the dancers, nakahalukipkip sila at mukhang may pinag-uusapan. I think Tito's looking at Isaac while Tita is cheering at her nephews.
Nanatili akong ganoon ang ginagawa. I saw all of my friends, my relatives, businessmen and other guests. But wait, my family isn't there ah, where in the world are they?
I tilted 360 degrees and then I smiled when I saw papa coming out from the shadows. Kasama niya si mama and...
Wait! Why is he with them?!
With smiles on their faces, sophisticated looks and the aura that they give, there's no denying that Cris looks like a part of our family.
I rolled my eyes at him.
He didn't say anything stupid, right?
"What the fuck did they do...?" inip kong bulong sa aking sarili.
"We had a private talk," a husky voice from behind.
I felt Cris' breath when he slightly laughed exactly behind my neck.
I'll stab him if he makes a step towards me.
