Chapter 31: Peers

Shelia's POV

"Enjoy your dinner," Cris said in a very different tone.

Kanina pa nakaawang ang bibig ko at medyo bumilis ang pagtibok ng puso ko. His hawk-like eyes and black attire, slicked-back hair, red lips and his clean look made its presence felt with such authority.

Seeing him like that just strikes differently. That seeing him, only at him, for all day everyday is enough for me.

I didn't know that he can be like this, really. That he will look good without his usual messy hair and that he can actually convince you that he is also from a well known family. And oh! that eyes and lips, his freshness and aura, my gosh! Stop it Shelia!

Kumurap-kurap ako, bigla akong natauhan nang magsalita si Olivia, lito ko siyang tiningnan.

"Uhm... Is this the best dish that Tipanan can offer?" she said in a very playful tone.

My eyebrows rose up. Is she fucking flirting with him?!

Cris smirked playfully too. "Yes madamme," aniya sa isang mapaglarong tono rin.

Oh my gosh! What a flirt!

Olive smiled slightly when I went to look at her again. My other friends are staring at them too, I mean in Cris. I bet they're thinking of their own questions to ask, just to have a conversation with my author.

"Do you know him?" bulong sa akin ni Cornelia, she's just beside me. Nilingon ko siya.

Umiling ako. There's no way that I'll admit it. Pipilitin lang nila akong ilakad sila kay Cris. Well kahit naman na malalaman nila, ilalakad ko lang sila pauwi.

As I went back to Olivia and Cris, I smiled evilly when Cris turned away. Go! Get out of here!

We coincidentally sighed at the same time. Bumagsak ang mga balikat namin nang makitang paalis na siya at may kausap ng iba.

Tinuon ko ang aking atensiyon pabalik sa pagkain. I drew an invisible circle in my plate, I kinda lost my appetite. Seconds after that, the table shaked unexpectedly, agad na kumunot ang noo ko.

"Hey wait!"

Namilog ang mga mata ko sa pagtayo ni Olivia. Kung hindi lang ako saktong hinawakan ni Angela, baka tumayo na rin ako.

Agad kaming umayos sa pag upo nang bumaling sa amin si Cris, I saw him turned in a slow motion. What the fuck is wrong with me?

"Is there a problem?" tanong niya sa isang matigas na ingles.

Kunot noo kong pinagmasdan ang pag gapang ng kamay ni Olivia sa kaniyang sariling batok.

"Uhm... I forgot to ask your name. I'm Olivia Rodriguez by the way." Naglahad siya ng kamay.

Umiling-iling si Cris habang ngumingisi. He accepted her hand with one eyebrow shot on top, his other hand on his pocket.

"Well, nice to meet you, Olivia. I'm Cris, Cris Perseus Atorino."

With smiles on their lips, they shaked their hands in a gentle way.

I rolled my eyes in a hidden view.

"A-Are you a regular in Tipanan?" tanong niyang muli kay Cris na binawi na ang kamay.

Inilingan siya nito. "No..." He looked at me. "I'm already working in a very well-known company," dagdag niya.

Nilakihan ko siya ng mata. I hope he gets my message, I'm hoping that he will not tell them that he's working with me. I just can't imagine the days that'll come if my friends will know about it. I had enough already with just Athena and Samantha. And that's like only two people!
