The place would be unpredictable. And he'd kill himself first, before he used his own hands to put the woman he loved in the line of fire. In danger.

He would no doubt have a lot of enemies coming after him, seeking to destroy him through this means, while he was going to be away in a country he wasn't used to. A place where he was going to be without as much protection as he normally would. A place where he'd be at his most vulnerable. He definitely couldn't take Raven with him.

If they knew the woman he loved had come along with him, she'd become fair game. They'd do everything in their power to hurt her, just to get back at him.

He had a lot of enemies all over. Rich ones. Powerful ones, who didn't give bland threats. Dangerous ones. It was why he didn't love. Why he hadn't loved anyone at all, for a very long time. Why he hadn't t drawn anyone close all this while, until Raven.

Having someone you held dear, someone you cherished more than anything else, could instantly turn into a weakness, for a man as powerful as he was. A soft link for bad people all around to hit you from.

He'd done his best job of shielding Raven from his world for the past one year. His past. His enemies. Heck, his friends even. Because even they would be bad for her as well. He sure as hell wasn't going to drag her in now, even if it meant he had to be away from her for a month.

He'd killed before, countlesssly. He'd drugged, he'd tortured. He'd also never said he was a saint. In his world, it was kill or be killed.

But ever since Raven had come along, god Raven... She'd changed his life, in ways she didn't even fully understand, herself.

He'd tried his best to leave a whole lot of what he used to do in the past, behind. For her.

The last thing he'd want, was his past coming back to hurt Raven, be it in the form of something or some...one.

His past could also have the unique ability to destroy the delicatness of what they had between them. Something he definitely didn't want. So he'd tried his best to go legitimate... well, mostly.

But even that could change and snap out in a second. Everything he'd worked so hard to build, could come crashing down in a second. And it all centered around Raven. For her. Because of her. Inspite of her. Admist her.

Should he rage and be angry at her? Should he love her, crave her, cherish her every bit as much as he even now, did? Should he ruin her or should he fuck her? Destroy her in various possible ways his imagination could possibly conjure up?

It was incredible, really. The way she'd so carefully worked her way into his life, in ways no one ever had. Trapping his heart, in the palm of her tight, little fists. She destroyed him. She made him. Everyday. With her looks, with her touch, with her lips, with her tight, quivering pussy that constantly begged for his attention, and his touch.

Who was he kidding? He was at her mercy, every bit as much as she was at his. He was her servant. He'd die for her, all she had to do was ask. And the thought of that, scared him most of all. Scared him everyday.

In his entire existence, many persons had tried to kill him, and all had failed. Only she could do it most efficiently, if she tried. That was what scared him. She could be the death of him. Might still be.

She could raise a knife to his throat and if that was what she truly wanted, he'd be powerless to stop her. She was a weapon. And if his enemy knew, just how much power a woman like her, had over him, if they somehow found a way to manipulate her, she'd become more than a powerful weapon in their hands. She'd become a weapon to annihilate.

Apparently, the weapon to kill Mikhail Constantinovich finally existed. And fool that he was, he'd been the one to personally make that weapon himself. He'd groomed it. Loved it. Cherished it. Oh what fool he was... A fool in love.

The thought that someone like him, who was constantly at edge, who constantly needed to be alert, had let a girl in through his defenses, was startling. She damaged years of his hardwork. Laid waste to most of his carefully built plans over the years, simply by breathing. Simply by existing. Should he be grateful? Should he be content? Should he go stark, raving mad?

He supposed, even Raven didn't fully understand the gravity of who she dating. What she was dating. Dangerous. Powerful. Beyond wealthy. Heartless. A monster. She was ignorant of most of his life before her, and he'd loved to keep it that way.

She'd be genuinely afraid of him, if she knew. She'd run, borrow extra pairs of legs just to get far, far away from him.

A man like him, didn't simply get rich through the good books, or through the right processes. He'd done things he couldn't undo. Things he didn't think he might regret, well until Raven had come along.
