"Did you close the deal Miss Edens?"

"No sir, I didn't" Raven swallowed

"Why didn't you, Miss Edens? In simple terms please"

"He wasn't very cooperative sir. He kept veering off track, and outside of business, and all the reasons why he came there in the first place"

"That's why you're the bank manager. It's your job, to make clients veer back to track. To listen, to entice them, to persuade them, until they're almost eating right out of your palms. You're even a woman for God's sake. Don't you know how to use your wiles? He even made the work easier for you. He came looking for you, which means he was already interested."

"Sir..."

"It's called mixing busines with pleasure. It seems to me you're already good at it. You are dating the current CEO of Stanford Bank after all. Correct me if I'm wrong."

"You are not wrong sir. Sir I tried..."

"Do you know why I called you today, Raven? Hmm? Any idea? I'm a very busy man as you might have guessed. And you're not the only Bank manager Stanford has, neither does Philadelphia have the only Stanford Bank in the world. Obviously, the other bank managers don't get to close all their deals with assigned clients all in one day, as well. Do you think I make out time to call all of them?"

"I... guess not" Raven finally replied after a while

"No, I don't Miss Edens. I'm not a jobless man. So the real question you should ask yourself, is why I called you. There has been series of complaints filed against you. And I've stroven to be understanding, over and over again. I mean it's not a secret that you do date the owner of the bank after all. You come late to work, you leave early like today, I was told you left an hour early, sometimes you outrightly don't even come to work at all, and that's well within your rights as manager, you don't have to come to work everyday, I understand that, but in the past one year, you've taken yours to a bit to the excessive side. You've been gone for weeks on end. Once more, I understand you date the boss. I know that can't be easy, especially when the boss is Mikhail Constantinovich. I also know you've gone on countless trips with him outside of Philadelphia, which is why you've had to miss work for weeks. But please, I'd like to be able to know I can count on my bank managers. A complaint was filed against you three days ago as well, the latest one. An employee had seen you kissing Mr. Raphael through your windows. Another employee reportedly heard the sound of someone getting slapped, right in that same office. Now I don't want to jump to conclusions. I also don't want to know if you slapped Raphael or if Raphael slapped you. But can I at least implore you to do your damn job, which is close that deal, along with every other thing you choose to do in your office? If someone can get kissed in that office, another set of person can get slapped, in that same office, then a business deal can certainly be closed in that office as well. So I'm begging you Miss Edens, close one. Your very job is riding on this"
