About: Set in the past—that is, if people in the seventeenth century had magical powers—this book is about an unlikely group of six teenagers who band together to pull off a heist that will make them richer than their wildest dreams. Although there is no LGBTQ+ romance in the first book, two of the characters are clearly queer—a fact that is proven when they get together in the sequel.

My thoughts: I read this book a long time ago, so I don't remember it super well, but I do remember that it is amazing! The cast is a diverse group with different sexualities, backgrounds, and races, as well as completely different personalities. I loved reading this book because it felt like you got to know the characters as people and most importantly, as friends. The only thing I would say is that the plot can get a bit confusing, so that is why I gave it a 9/10.
