I immediately felt pain in my head. It was pounding and I groaned. Not in all my years of training have I felt this amount of pain in my head.

That's when all of the memories of what happened came flooding in. The fire, the screaming, the fellow warriors fighting, the fire bending boy.

"Shhhh" A voice soothed, "You need to rest."

I slowly opened my eyes to see a blurry figure kneeling over me, punching me back down. I blinked a few times and my vision started to clear. I realized the person above me was Katara.

"What happened," I asked, my voice hoarse, "did we win?"

"Kinda..." Katara said, "Aang stopped the fires and Zuko and his fleet aren't there anymore."

"Who?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you don't know him. Zuko is the guy who knocked you out. He's the prince of the fire nation and he's hell bent on capturing Aang." she explained.

"Yeah!" another voice piped up for out of my line of vision, "he's pretty crazy."

I craned my neck to see who was talking. Sitting a few feet away was Sokka. This is when I started to notice where I was.I was on Appa, but then I realized that we weren't on the ground.

"A-are we flying?!" I asked, shocked.

"Yeah...." Katara said sheepishly.

"But-how?" I asked.

"Well Appa is a sky bison-"

"No! I mean why am I- I don't understand!" I interrupted.

Why was I on the sky bison? Where are the other Kyoshi warriors? Where was Suki? Were they even alive?

I started to try and stand up, but Katara forced me back down.

"Amara, you're hurt. We had to leave on Appa to lead Zuko away from Kyoshi island. You were injured and Aang said he needed you to help him with the spirit world, whatever that means, so we took you." She said, trying to calm me down.

"SO YOU FUCKING KIDNAPPED ME?!" I yelled at her. I knew it was kind of mean, but she took me away from my home when it was in danger.

"If it makes you feel better Suki wanted us to. She said that she had it under control."

"What am I gonna do about Kyoshi!?! That was the only way I could train with her-communicate with her!" I said annoyed and desperate.

"I'm sure everything will work out. Kyoshi seems to always find a way- even in the spirit world." Aang reassured.

I sighed. I knew I wasn't going home for a while, so I might as well make the best out of this situation. I looked down at my torn up warriors outfit.

"I'm gonna need new clothes." I said.

-A few weeks later-

"Ugh, those clouds look so soft," said Katara, leaning over the side of Appa, "Like you could jump on them and they would be so soft."

"Why don't you jump off and give it a try," Sokka said sarcastically.

"Haha, very funny Sokka," I said. I looked over at Katara who was rolling her eyes. I noticed her grasping the place where her necklace once was, a habit she had picked up ever since she had lost the thing. I felt bad for her because it was the one thing she had left of her mother.
