How the hell did Kyoshi wear this?! The outfit was amazing and Kyoshi had taste, but how the hell did she fight in this?! Although my actual outfit wasn't originally Kyoshi's, I did have her original headpiece and fans. I even got to wear her makeup look.
"Oh wow," I heard someone say.
Turning around, I was greeted by Suki, in her own Kyoshi warrior getup.
"What?" I smiled.
"You look just like her-uh Kyoshi that is," she smiled.
"So do I join you guys with everyone else?" I asked.
"No, you're going with Aang and Zuko," she explained.
"Really?" I had honestly thought I was to go with the other warriors, just looking like a smaller kyoshi and representing the earth kingdom.
"No, you helped take down the biggest war ever! You are gonna get your credit!" She smiled, "but I am escorting you there."
"Sweet." I giggled.
I walked down the fire nation hallways with Suki, it was almost empty as everyone was outside, getting ready for the coronation. We finally came to a stop in a hallway that led to a giant doorway. Zuko and Aang were sitting in the hallway before quickly getting up and bowing to me.
"Avatar Kyoshi!" Aang said, "what are you-"
"It's me stupid, if I was Kyoshi I would be a lot taller," I giggled.
"Ohhhh," Aang said and I looked at Zuko who was practically beaming as he stood there.
"Well, the ceremony is about to start," he said and motioned for us to follow him through the doors. Suki smiled at me and her and the other Kyoshi warriors turned to go stand in the crowd.
I turned towards the doors that were closing after Aang and quietly slipped out. I stood next to the door frame as the people cheered for Zuko.
"Stop," he said in a lighthearted tone and gestured to Aang, "save your praise for the avatar."
Aang stood next to him and the people cheered loudly. Zuko glanced back at me, looking like he wanted me to stand by him but I shook my head softly at him.
In the end Aang was the avatar and had defeated the firelord. I think my own personal victory was not defeating Azula or the fire lord or the fire nation armies.
It was saving Zuko.
I felt a tear slip down my face as I watched them, but quickly wiped it away. It wasn't one that was sad, but more happy and sentimental. The future was so uncertain but at least it was over, and we won too.
"All hail firelord Zuko," a man yelled, jerking me from my thoughts. I cursed myself realizing I had missed his entire speech (oh well, I'll just have to make it up to him later....). An old man in red robed walked over to my boyfriend, who was kneeling on the ground, and placed the golden hairpiece on him.
And all I could think about was how well it suited him.

Zuko had gone to confront his father. I reminded myself that next time I would go with Zuko, to gloat. Maybe that was just me, but to be fair he deserved it.
I sat on the balcony that was attached to the room I was staying in. The others were also staying in the formation for another week for celebrations. Even Pau would be here, which excited me.
I watched the sun slowly set on the horizon. It reminded me of my home. I felt a small sadness growing in my chest. Yes, I missed my home, but I don't think I could ever go back and live there the rest of my life.
A part of me wanted to stay here for the rest of my life, or for longer than a week.
"You've grown so much," I heard a voice say.
I turned to see Kyoshi standing there, glowing in a spiritual form. I smiled, happy to see my mentor.
"Avatar Kyoshi," I bowed, "thank you for visiting me."
"It's always a pleasure Amara" she said, giving a small smile.
"Avatar Kyoshi.....do you think I should go back with the others...back to the island?"
"I believe that you should do what your heart says." She said.
"So can I stay!?" I asked, "I swear I'll visit every week!"
"Amara are you doing this because of the firelord?" She asked, frowning slightly.
"Whaaaat? You fell in love with a firebender!" I slightly joked.
"Yes and they can be very temperamental." She said, placing a hand on my shoulder, well kinda, she was in spirit form.
"So is that a blessing to stay?" I asked.
"Amara, you are the one who helped save the world, it's time you make your own choices." She said, " if staying makes you happy, then be with the one you love."
I beamed at her, she smiled at me once more.
"I want you to know that I am very proud of you." She said.
I felt happiness and pride bloom into my chest, happy to make my strict mentor happy.
"Thank you avatar kyoshi." I said, tears of joy prickling in my eyes.
I ran and hugged her waist, instead of stiffening, she returned the hug and placed her arms around my back.
I felt her slowly fade away, but not before she echoed her wisdom to me.
"Stay with those who bring you the most joy Amara, now is time to celebrate."
I pulled away and she motioned towards the door and I skipped away. But before I could leave she called out to me. I turned back to her and raised my eyebrow.
"I'm proud to call you my descendant," she said.
