I sat crossed legged on my bed, staring at the wall. I really didn't have much of a sense of time seeing as there were no windows on this ship. The only way I came to tell time was when my two meals were delivered, and when Iroh came at midday to have tea with me.
I hadn't seen Zuko for a while, maybe about two days. Judging by his attitude towards me as a whole I doubted I wanted to see him. Though it would be nice to have his company, because he was quite fun to annoy.
I sighed, once again worrying about the others. Would Katara, Aang and Sokka ever be able to find me? Would I ever be able to see the Kyoshi warriors again?
I thought about how just a month ago I hadn't ever even left the island. Now I'm god-knows-where on a fucking fire nation ship.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of the door being unlocked. I looked just in time to see the door opening, Zuko standing there.
"Zuko," I said, grinning at him, "you've come to visit your favorite prisoner. How lovely of you to grace me with your royal presence."
"Shut up," he snarled at me, "I'm here to interrogate you."
"Oh really? What do you want to know?" I said jokingly. He really thought that I was going to tell him anything?
"Tell me where the avatar is going," he demanded.
"No," I simply answered.
"No?!" he yelled, "you realize you're my prisoner, right? I can do horrible things to you!"
"Oh," I responded with fake amusement, "like what?"
"I could torture you!" he said, obviously growing frustrated with me.
"I bet you could," I said uninterestedly, "you know the avatar has a name right? His name is-"
Before I could finish he shot forward and pinned me against the wall by my throat, using his forearm. I gasped for breath, but his arm made it difficult. I started clawing at the hand that held me to the wall in a desperate attempt to break free.
He suddenly dropped his arm, and I fell to the bed gasping for air. I looked up at him and smirked.
"Oh so you like choking?"
I swear he would kill me if I wasn't valuable to him.
"Where is the avatar?" He asked again, holding himself back from hurting me again.
"Well you kidnapped me after I walked 3 hours away from our camp." I said, "I wouldn't even be able to locate it again." I responded, holding a hand to my throat.
He dropped the subject. He knew that I was probably right.
"How did you meet Kyoshi?" He asked.
I didn't respond and looked at the ground. He tried another question.
"How do you get to the spirit world?" He asked, very agitated.
I didn't respond again and continued to look at the ground. There was no way in hell that I would tell him anything.
"Are you able to lend your powers to others?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"What kind of question is that," I broke, looking up at him. I saw his face contort into one of anger for a moment until it relaxed.
"Are you going to answer any of my questions?" he demanded from me. I simply smiled and looked back down at the floor.
He slammed on hand on the wall right next to me and his other hand grabbed my hair and forced me to look at him. I look into his eyes. They were full of anger and malice, but there was something else there. I couldn't place my finger on it.
