For the past few days I've been spending my time with Princess Yue and her waterbending cousin, Pau. They were very sweet and interested in the spirit world.

"Ok ok so have you met any like, really cute spirits?" Pau asked me.

"Pau!" Yue exclaimed.

"I'm lonely and single and want to meet a cute spirit!" Pau complained.

"No, none yet." I said.

"Awwwww, oh well." He said as he played with the water.

"Oh! I just realized I promised Sokka I would meet up with him!" Yue realised.

She bowed to us and quickly walked away, eager to see her "boyfriend"

"How much do you wanna bet they hook up?" I asked Pau.

"None, she's engaged to this douche but she takes it very seriously." He said sadly.

"Ewww, well maybe we can try to get her out of it." I said. The poor girl, sixteen and already being sold off like a common cattle. It's barbaric.

"Oh I've tried," he explained, "but she refuses. Being the princess and all she kinda has to get married to him."

"Oh," I simply said, sad for her. In a twisted sort of way I was glad I wasn't her, and could actually have freedom. On my island it seemed as though women were valued and that Kyoshi had made things better for us. Yet as we travelled around the world it became apparent that others had it differently.

"What's wrong?" He asked, frowning at the look upon my face. I gave him a tight smile, deciding not to mention it.

"Nothing, just sad for her," I explained, looking into the distance. He just shrugged at it and didn't press any further, which I appreciated.

Pau and I walked around the city together for a while, he told me about the water tribes rich history and I told him about Kyoshi island.

"So those are really Kyoshi's actual fans?" He asked, looking at the fans.

"Yep, they were given to me when I was younger." I responded.

"Wow so they really work?" He asked in awe.

"No they don't, they probably are just props." I heard a voice behind me say.

"Ugh, don't look now it's Yue's betrothed." Pau whispered to me.

I turned around to see a man around my age with his buddies looking smug. I looked at him up and down and had to fight the urge to roll my eyes. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"I'm sorry did you say something?" I asked.

"Just that you're probably faking everything." He said.

What is with these waterbenders and being such assholes?!

"Oh shut the hell up Han, you're just mad that a girl is a better warrior than you'll ever be." Pau shot back.

"I bet I could take you in a battle, little girl. What do you say?" He asked smugly.

"Okay," I simply responded, knowing where this was going.

I grabbed my fans and opened them. Once he ran towards me, I conjured a small part of the spirit world.

I hit my hands outward and a small gust of energy shot out. He went flying back into a wall.

"Come on Pau, I want to hear more about your waterbending." I said smugly.

He smiled at me while trying to hold back his laughter and walked away with me.
