Chapter 18 (?):

I tapped my foot impatiently on the stone ground as Toph spoke with the woman. The blind bandit not-so-subtly flexed her last name, and the women's whole composer changed.

"As you can see I am blind," Toph said, purposely looking the wrong way to further her point, "and these four imbeciles are my valets."

I smiled widely at the ticket woman, trying to look as helpful as possible. She raised her eyebrow at us and stared at Momo, who was curled around my neck.

"But the animal-" she started.

"-Is my seeing eye Lemur," Toph lied straight through her teeth.

"Well normally I don't let just anyone on, but since this is such an official document.." she sighed, stamping the five tickets. I cheered silently as Toph grabbed the papers and we began to make our way to the boat.

The deck was over crowded with mostly refugees trying to find a way on the boat. They chattered quietly amongst themselves as we mulled around. Some through us shady looks, eyeing Katara, Sokka and Aang's very non-earth kingdom attire.

"All right," Sokka cheered when we were a little ways away from the ticket counter, "we scammed that lady good!"

I was about to tell him to shut up before we got caught when someone grabbed at the back of my shirt and yanked my back.

"Tickets and passports please," a familiar voice demanded.

"SUKI!" I yelled, turning around to see my oldest friend standing behind me.

"AMARA!" She shouted and ran over to me, grabbing me into a tight hug. I felt like my bones were being crushed but whatever.

I felt tears run down my cheeks. I had no idea what had happened to my family, besides when Sokka had told me they went to fight in the war.

"Wha-how....why are you here?" I asked when I finally pulled back.

"A little bit ago the other warriors and I escorted a few refugees here. We've been working here ever since." She explained, "And forced to wear these ugly outfits."

"Wait, the others are here?!" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah! C'mon they will be excited to see you." She said pulling me

After a few hours after I got to see my sisters, Suki and the rest of us were waiting at one of the watchtowers.

"You look so different without your makeup." Katara commented.

"Yeah, I wish they had us wear our warriors outfits, but it's fine." She said and turned to sokka, "WHat about you? Been working out?"

I almost gagged, although I shouldn't judge....what the fuck was that flirting?

"Hi momo!" Suki petted Momo, "So why are you guys getting tickets for the fiery, wouldn't you just use Appa?"

"Appa is missing, and we hoped to find him in Ba Sing Se." Katara explained.

"Oh I'm so sorry, are you doing ok?" Suki asked Aang.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Can everyone stop worrying." Aang snapped.

"Avatar Aang! Please help!" I heard a voice cry. I saw it was the pregnant woman and her husband that showed us this place, "Someone took our passports and everything! We can't get to Ba Sing Se!"

"I'll talk to the lady for you!" Aang promised.
