My heart sank. She was serious. I looked into her golden eyes and saw that whatever she said, she was not lying.
"If you think for one moment that I'll ever help you, your top knot is sticking your head harder than I thought." I hissed.
The confident smirk she had momentary flashed anger and annoyance. Her emotions were cracking through and it was clear as day. She grabbed my collar of my dress roughly and pulled me closer to her. I could feel her breath on my lips.
"I'm not afraid of you or the fire nation. Go ahead, hit me, beat me, kill me. I don't care." I whispered, giving a smirk at the last part, "Run home to daddy before you get burned, little princess."
Her hands grew warmer at her word, but not the comforting sort of warmth that Zuko had when holding me. Azula was hot, near burning, and I was growing uncomfortable with the temperature.
"If you weren't important then I would burn you to ashes," she hissed at me. I tried to put distance between me and her, but she was pressed up against me and there was no way to backup. I felt my heart racing in my chest. The heat grew to an unbearable temperature and I started thrashing in her hands, trying to get away from her.
"Not so brave now?" she laughed and all of a sudden the heat was gone. She pulled her arms back and I dropped to the floor, gasping for air. Azula stood over me with a twisted expression as she watched me fight to breathe.
I looked up at her, glaring. Something was.... off. Well, as off as Azula can get. Slowly I forced myself to my feet; desperate not to be at her mercy.
Before I could say anything she grabbed my collar and slammed me up against the wall again. My head hit the wall and I grew a little dizzy. I just wanted this to end. Her hands didn't warm up though, she just stared at me with that slightly crazed expression.
Suddenly she lurched forward and I flinched, thinking she was going to attack me again. Instead, she took me by surprise. The princess pressed a bruising kiss on my lips, pinning me down by my hands. I stayed still for a moment in surprise then I struggled, but to no use, because she still had the upper hand.
She pulled back, licking her bottom lip. I looked at her, wide-eyed. I mean...she was a good kisser but I was with her brother and...whatever was going on with Astra. Honestly, I can only deal with one crazy, scary, demon woman in my life right now.
"I-I deadass thought you had something with Ty Lee," I said, stupidly, not knowing what the hell I was supposed to say.She raised a brow to me, her fingers still digging into my wrists. I flinched, feeling her heat returning. She smiled widely, happy to see my discomfort.
I heard shouting and commotion. Bells started ringing as guards shouted about riots. I heard guards run past and Azula looked over at the door, letting my hands go.
"Azula, there's a huge riot going on!" Ty Lee came in.
"Well then, I suppose we better leave then," Azula said, turning to me.
I felt a boom and all of a sudden all three of us were thrown back, I hit another wall. I felt a cool hand grab me and pull me up. When I looked up, no one was there.
"Remember this Amara," I heard a voice hiss in my ear even though no one was there, "I'm the only demon in your life."
Astra.
Of course, she's here, where chaos resides, she's there.
I felt a small push and I ran out of the room, silently thanking Astra for being there to help me. I felt her presence leave, clearly going back to wherever she came from.
