I was bombarded with lots of messages when we got home. Tahimik sila noong umalis kami pero pinutakte naman ako ng mga tanong ngayon. Most of it came from Zhavia. Aniya ay masyado siyang nagulat sa nangyari kaya hindi niya magawang magsalita kanina.

From: Zhavia

I wasn't drunk, Maeve! I wasn't dreaming, right? You and Vance... really?

Hoy, totoo nga? What the fuck?

We stopped by to drink coffee. Seriously, nawala nang tuluyan lasing ko.

Are you guys in a relationship or just flings?

I rested my back against the couch. Pakiramdam ko ay masyado akong napagod dahil sa nangyari at alas tres na rin nang makauwi kami.

I closed my eyes as I put my phone on the coffee table. Hinilot ko ang sentido ko at hinayaan ang sarili na makapagpahinga muna bago maligo. I heard the door close and footsteps coming towards me. Idinilat ko ang mata ko nang maramdamang umupo si Vance sa paanan ko.

"Do you want anything?" He asked quietly. Tinitigan ko lang siya nang maingat niyang inangat ang mga binti ko at nilapag sa kanyang kandungan. Isa-isa niyang ring kinalas ang strap ng aking stilettos at binaba iyon sa gilid.

My lips twisted when I felt a pang of pain on the soles of my feet. Marahan iyong hinawakan ni Vance at hinilut-hilot.

"Magpa-pahinga lang ako then I'll take a shower," I said and closed my eyes again.

His fingers touched my feet gently. Napapangiwi ako kapag pinipisil niya ang sakong ko. Magandang tingnan kapag nagsu-suot ng high heels pero pagkatapos ay masakit talaga sa paa.

"Alright, I'll take a shower first."

Hindi ko na siya nilingon at tumango na lang. Even though Vance already spent nights here, nagugulat pa rin talaga ako kapag dito siya matutulog. Well, aside from tonight... Kiel's room was free so he could use it.

Tumayo ako at kumuha na ng damit sa kwarto. The whole apartment looked so neat and tidy. Ibang-iba talaga kapag nandito si Kiel dahil nakakalat lahat ng laruan at kung anu-ano pa... but it doesn't matter, the whole apartment isn't happy without him.

My phone beeped because of a message. Inilapag ko muna ang mga damit ko sa couch at umupo roon. My forehead knitted when I saw who sent a message.

Why you didn't tell us that you know him?

Napapikit ako nang mariin bago nagtipa ng sasabihin. Waa it my obligation to tell them that I knew Vance already?

To: Keiko

I just thought that it's not that important for me to tell you guys.

I sighed as I pressed the send button. Ilang segundo lang ay nakatanggap muli ako ng mensahe.

It's Vance, Maeve! You know that I like him.

To: Keiko

I didn't know that you like him, Keiko.

Ngumuso ako at hinintay na lang ang kanyang reply. As her sister in sorority, it looks like that I'm always oblige to attend to their queries. Gaya nga ng sabi ni Silverio, inaabuso na ako. I didn't find it like that because I think that it's a win-win situation. Kung nakikinabang sila sa akin, nakikinabang din ako sa kanila.

I was about to type my reply when Vance went out of the bathroom. He was just covered with a white towel on his lower part. Ang tubig ay tumutulo pa mula sa dulo ng kanyang buhok. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at tumayo na para makapasok sa banyo.
