Have a good night!" I tell the group of girls as they leave the store.

I close the door behind them and lock it. I flip the closed sign over and let out an exhausted breath.  I close the store blinds and instantly I hear music.

"You couldn't wait could you?" I laugh, turning to see Roland with his infamous smirk.

"Nope." He chuckles and I roll my eyes. I walk behind the register to get the broom. "I got it." He takes the broom from my hand and I shiver at how cold they are.

"Your hands are freezing." I run my hand up my arm to soothe my goosebumps.

"It's cold in here." He says plainly. I roll my eyes and pull out the weekly closing book to start filling some forms out. I glance up at him as he sweeps and chuckle at the concentration on his face.  "Told you you have a staring problem." He laughs but doesn't look up from the floor.

"I wasn't staring at you." I lie. I've been staring at him all day.

"You've been staring at me all day." He stops sweeping and looks at me with an eyebrow raised. "Something you wanna say?"

I clear my throat and look away from his intense gaze. "Nope."

"Mhmm." He mumbles and I ignore him so I can finish this shit quickly. The quicker we get done the quicker I can go home and away from him. My hormones have been raging all freaking day and it doesn't help that he keeps getting close to me, giving me looks and being extra helpful. It's like he can sense my nervousness.

We worked in an awkward silence for the next few minutes until he decided to speak up again, "Tell me something."

I look up, seeing he's holding the broom in one hand with a smirk on his face. "What is it?" I ask with a smile creeping on my face.

"You kiss me righ-"

"You kissed me Roland." I cut him off and he raises his eyebrow.

"You kiss me right and dip out of here like mother fucking Cinderella, come back here and act like nothing happened for weeks."

"That sounds about right." I nod with a playful smile, looking back down at the book.

"I don't like that." He says simply and I glance back up at him, shrugging my shoulders.

"The way you flirt with girls all day here I'm surprised you're even addressing this and not out with them." I motion to the door and he purses his lips.

"Hm, that's it." He points at me with a smirk. I give him a confused look.

"What?" I grab the office keys off the hook and unlock it to grab the sales log.

"That." He points to my scrunched up face. "The attitude and cold shoulder is because you like me."

"I don't like anyone. I've been giving you the cold shoulder because we kissed and it's awkward." I answer simply and he smacks his teeth.

"Alright. I won't press the subject." He surrenders and I mentally thank the heavens for it.

The last thing I need is to have another serious conversation. It's bad enough I ended things with Ally but I don't need another thing that's emotionally distracting right now. Keeping some distance between me and Roland has worked for a while but us seeing each other was bound to happen. We'd been eyeing each other all night so I don't know why I wasn't prepared for this conversation.

I just don't plan on talking to him about the kiss for a while. In my world, I'd want to completely forget about it but I see he's not the type to let something like that go.
