"What happened between me and Virgil..." the deceptive side took a dragged out breath in, tightly grasping his soft gloves before continuing his words, "well, two nights ago I entered Virgils room and, as I'm sure you can assume, an argument broke out. I was still attempting to get answers from him. But the argument heated up extremely fast and got aggressive quickly. I ended up letting my pent up anger for him out and said things I'm aware I shouldn't have. By the time I left, Virgil was a sobbing mess on the floor and I was too busy focusing on my self declared success in that argument to care. Which is when I decided to leave and push again another time, I mean, I knew I wouldn't get any straightforward answers while he was having an attack."
The silence that followed the confession didn't last long. A sharp sound of skin being smacked echoed throughout the room and before I even knew it I had slapped Janus round the face. I didn't even notice in the moment I had hit the side of his face where his scales were laid. He let out a quiet hiss of pain under his breath and raised his ungloved hand to cover the patch of scales that had gotten hit. I had no clue why my mind came to the conclusion that the most rational and appropriate thing to do in that situation was act aggressively towards Janus, but I felt no regret towards my actions. Even just thinking about how he may be the reason Virgil is missing made my skin boil and temper rise.
Taking my eyes off of the serpent that stood before me, I glanced over to my fellow light sides. The emotions plastered on Romans face seemed to be those of pity combined with anger while Patton seemed to be almost on the verge of crying, his hand covered his mouth and his eyes glazed in shock. Whether Patton felt this shock due to Janus' full story or my act of mild violence was unbeknownst to me, but I didn't have much concern to find out.
"What did you tell him," I spat out, refusing to leave this room without the full explanation as to what went down between them.
Janus hesitated to speak but he wasn't foolish enough to start denying us answers now, "I told him... that he was replaceable... and that he owed me for raising him in the dark sides and... I said it all while shape-shifted into the old Virgil."
Honestly, I was aware that anger was a minor side trait in the dark part of the mind, but he must be having the time of his life right now being able to sense the unholy and unfiltered rage that was seething from me right now.
"I can not fucking believe you right now, Deceit," I spat with venom dripping from my words. I don't think anyone had ever seen me so enraged before, judging my the reactions they were giving me. I knew I just needed to get away from the others before I did much worse than slap Janus.
Pushing behind Janus & Roman, I stormed out of Virgils room as fast as I could, able to feel the tears threaten to pour down my cheeks. Virgil wasn't gone & I needed to find him to prove it. He was simply missing or busy somewhere else. He had to be.
He... he had to be...
