|POV Logan|
Honestly I'll spare the details. The journey through Remus imagination was less than interesting. It was possible that I was too caught up in my own worries to take a moment to relax, but you can't blame me for that. Especially after Remus accidentally made Virgils laugh echo throughout the imagination. It made my heart ache so badly. Hearing his wholesome laugh again but knowing he wasn't near.
The same laugh he would make when I would crack an occasional joke about a book we were reading and he would act like it was the funniest joke he had ever heard. But it always seemed so sincere, like he actually did enjoy my company enough to laugh freely around me. Virgil was always the type to be on guard and reluctant to show emotions to others, I guess me and him are similar in that sense. But still, his walls crumbled around me just as easily as my walls crumbled for him, and I couldn't help but admire him for that.
After we left the empty, void-ish part of his imagination, we entered a dark forest type area that Remus had said was just a natural part of his imagination that always stayed there, no matter if he was thinking of it or not. Due to this, he insisted that there was no dangers inside and the forest acted as a regular one would. Slightly suspicious to hear coming from Remus but I had no choice but to place my trust in him.
And that trust seemed to pay off. The path we traveled through in the forest was extremely simple, we only seemed to take right turns, and eventually it lead to a cleared out patch of land. At first glance it seemed as though we had just found our way back to the void, but upon further inspection I noticed there was actually a door placed in the middle of this void. There was nothing really special about the door in all honesty, it actually seemed rather plain. I mean, plain considering it's supposed to be the door that the twins can use to get King Creativity back. But as odd as it was, it's not an issue."So...i'm assuming this is the door to the Reverse Room then?" I questioned as I approached it, my hand hesitating to open the door.
"Mhm, but first," Remus sighed as he turned to face his brother, "you can't come in. If you do, the room will start trying to fuse us and that's a huge mess to deal with cause i doubt we'll be able to unfuse again. So you stay out here."
Roman made a face of offence, "so you want me to stay out here by myself and just wait for you all..?"
"Yes, that's exactly what i'm asking," Remus rolled his eyes as if he was tired of Romans constant complaints, which I can't say I didn't sympathise with. I just wish they'd all stop complaining and stop getting distracted. This isn't about them.
The discontent on Romans face was beyond clear but I really couldn't care less. Can he not just be excluded from one thing when our friends life was at possible risk right now?!
"I can stay out here with him?" Patton spoke up. Of course he was the one to provide a 'solution' to something that wasn't even an issue. The only real reason I could think of as to why Patton would put up with Romans shit for so long, even after knowing what he knows about Virgil and Romans past, would be Patton shared a deep appreciation for Roman beyond this whole situation.
"You ssure about that, Patton?" Janus asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Mhm," he nodded his head in response, "you three go in. I'll stay out here with Roman until you guys come back."
"Well in that case, you two ready?" Remus looked to me and Janus as he asked. We both provided nods of agreement while those two approached closer to the door. Finally swallowing down the fear, I pushed open the door and was the first to enter through it. I heard the other two follow suit and enter behind me, keeping the door open so it would be more easily identifiable when making our trip back.
