|POV Remus|
"Take care of them..." Janus whispered to me before he exited the room with Roman and Patton. Weirdly, those two sides didn't seem to be communicating as much as they were earlier. Patton in particular seemed to be avoiding Romans gaze. Either something had happened between those two or I was over analysing this whole thing. Who knows.
After giving a small wave to Janus as he left, I turned to face Virgil, or should I say Paranoia, who now laid out on one of our sofas with Logan leaning protectively by his side, his eyes locked on Virgil.
"Hey, teach? You.. all good?" I asked cautiously, sitting myself down on a sofa opposite the one Virgil lay on and watching the two intently. Seeing someone else care so deeply for Virgil was strangely heart warming. Ick, ✶ positive feelings ✶.
Not once, did Logan look up from Virgils unconscious figure as he thought over my question. Whatever conclusion he came to, Logan clearly decided that my question wasn't good enough to answer and instead he asked his own question about the situation.
"Remus... is this really one of Virgils old forms?" He asked quietly. Damn, I should have known that Logan would be the side to put the pieces together the fastest.I knew there was virtually no point in trying to act dumb in this situation, not only did Logan deserve to know the truth but it would probably be for the best once Virgil woke up.
Taking a heaved sigh in, I diverted my gaze to the floor, "... yep. This is what Virgil used to look like before he ever met you all."Logan's facial expressions seemed to contort in curious confusion, "is he still.. anxiety?"
"Nope," I shook my head lightly, "you wanna know what he is? He's... Virgil used to be Paranoia."
"Paranoia?!" Logan finally turned away from Virgil to face me, "but- I... Paranoias been a main trait before? How did I never notice...?"
"Cause he wasn't a Main Trait for very long," I bit my lip as I spoke, thinking back on all those forgotten memories of my old friend felt incredibly strange, "he existed for awhile before becoming a Main Trait. And then one day he just... begun to make his own aura and turn into a Main Trait, I guess? He only stayed as Paranoia for just under a year before he ended up converting to Anxiety, aaaand then he ended up joining you guys a few years later. We never showed you guys him when he was Paranoia causeee... well mainly cause when he was a Minor Side, he heard all the stories that the Sides tell about you all. Honestly, like, those guys demonise Patton and villainise Roman so much it's hilarious. I guess he was just scared about what you guys might be truly like. But once he joined you all, I guess he didn't really like talking about his past if he never told you of all people."
Logan gently nodded his head, he seemed almost too mentally exhausted to object or doubt anything I was saying.
"I see... what did the minor sides tell him about me then? I'm assuming he won't remember everything about me that he used to know when he wakes up but... I do wish to know how he previously perceived me."That actually was a question I'd never thought of before, "thats a good question- I-..." I pondered for a moment, "I don't actually think the Minor Sides have any issues with you. And they like to complain soo, if they don't have an issue with you they won't talk about you. My guess is Paranoia doesn't know anything about you."
"I see..."
"But that could be considered a good thing!" I tried to cheer him up.
"Huh? And how so?" He asked, clearly not believing me that much.
"Causeee, Paranoias gonna be really cautious around Roman and Patton, thinking that they're bad people. But you? You've got a whole new start with him! If me and Janus vouch for you, he'll probably be willing to atleast talk to you!"
My claim seemed to actually appear as a viable option to Logan as you could see the hope light in his eyes, "you and Janus would be willing to do that for me-?"
"Eh, sure. I don't see why not. Somehow, you seem like the least problematic in this whole situation," I scoffed as I said it.
Logan allowed himself to chuckle under his breath slightly too, "Hey... Remus? Would you mind promising me something?"
"Huh? Sure?" I tilted my head to the side as he asked.
"I'm aware you two were beyond close before he left... and even though you remember everything that happened with Virgil and us Light Sides, he doesnt. So please just... treat him like an old friend, like you used to."
Again, I couldn't conceal the slight devilish grin I had travel onto my face. Logan really did care sincerely for Virgils well being.
"Wouldn't have it any other way."A few more minutes passed, both of us enjoying the silence of the moment before us. The last 24 hours had been so chaotic and busy that I hadn't even noticed how tired I was.
"Hey, Lo?" I stood from the sofa I was previously sat at, "Ima head off to sleep, you mighhhtt wanna try get some sleep tonight? If you need anything, just scream at the top of your lungs~ I'll probably hear it." I giggled with a wink, about to head out of the living quarters before I remembered something.
"Ohh yeah, take these," I smirked before summoning two blankets into my arm. One being a plain, navy blue blanket and the other being Virgils old blanket, a purple one with the same stitch-work pattern he had on his jacket.Logan smiled ever so slightly before nodding his head and taking them from me, covering Virgils figure in his blanket, "thank you, Remus."
"No probelmmm~ keep him safe," I chuckled with a wink and a peace sign salute before heading out and to my room.
Logan seemed like a fairly cool Light Side. Plus, I couldn't help but admire and appreciate his care for Virgil deeply.
