|POV Janus|

It was honestly a huge shock to see him again. I knew I probably should have anticipated it, but I guess I just got a bit too good at lying to myself about how 'things were going to be ok' and how 'we'd find anxiety there' that I just ignored the very real chance that we'd find him there instead.
Because right now, that was not Virgil in Logan's arms. Atleast, not the Virgil that the Light Sides knew. He almost looked exactly the same as he did all those years ago.
Paranoia.
Our old friend.

After Virgil converted from Paranoia to Anxiety, I was convinced we'd never see him again. But low and behold, here he lay in his admirers arms. I knew we had to take him to the Dark Mind Palace as soon as possible for multiple reasons. First of all, if we took him through the Village and the Minor Sides saw Paranoia in a Light Sides arms, it would be pure anarchy. Plus, Paranoia was weak right now, and whether they wanted to admit it or not, Paranoia was 100% a Dark Side. If he stayed in the Light Side of the mind it would take an extremely long amount of time for him to get his energy & strength back. And finally, I don't know how much Paranoia remembers. If Paranoia wakes up in the Light Side of the mind and didn't remember it I'm almost certain he'd go into Fight or Flight mode and freak out. So really, keeping him in the Dark Side of the mind was the safest option for us.

Eventually though, we made it back to the Dark Mind Palace. It shared a very close resemblance with the Light Mind Palace but, of course, everything seemed darker. We still had the same basic lay out and rooms, living quarters, kitchen, bed rooms and such. But unlike the Light Mind Palace that had 6 rooms for all of the Main Sides, our side of the mind only had three rooms, mine, Remus' and Virgils old room. This was due to the fact that the Light Sides had never expressed any form of interest in staying round in our side so we had no need to create rooms for them.

We ended up taking Virgil into our living quarters where Logan proceeded to lay him down on one of the sofas and sat by his side, regularly running his hand through Virgils hair.

"I-is he going to be ok?" Patton mumbled out, standing next to the sofa and keeping his gaze locked on Virgils unconscious figure.

Me and Remus exchanged a few glances with each other, very clearly both trying to think over and be cautious with what we say and reveal about Paranoia here. I mean... the sides were going to find out what he was like eventually when he woke up anyway, but it may be a good choice to warn them a bit before hand.

"I'm sure he's going to be fine... i'd take the bet that he's just extremely exhausted. He doesn't seem hurt at all, and he's still breathing so..." I took a deep sigh in as I said it, "just leave him here to rest for awhile. I think it's best he stays in the Dark Mind Palace until he wakes up. You three can go back to rest in the Light Mind and come back later, staying here all night might corrupt you." I warned.

I noticed Roman shoot Patton a worried look, as if he was asking 'do you think it's good to leave Virgil here?' but the moral side wasn't even looking in Romans direction, he was looking over to Logan for assistance in what to do.

The logical trait seemed deep in thought before he finally came to his own conclusion. "Janus is right... Roman, Patton, you two need to go back to the Light Mind Palace," all four of us seemed to show some form of confusion on our faces when Logan spoke, "you two are very susceptible to corruption while in this side of the mind. I'm not. And I refuse to leave Virgils side until he wakes up." There was a certain stern determination in his tone that made you not want to object to him.

"Ya sure about that?" Remus questioned and tilted his head ever so slightly.

"Yes, i'm certain. I refuse to allow myself to get corrupted and I don't care that I don't have a room here. I am... willing to skip sleep while here. Janus, Remus, I sincerely ask you two to allow me to stay here just for awhile."

Remus turned to me and shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't care what Logan did while I pondered it for a moment. Logan did seem the most determined out of any of us to stay with and protect Virgil, but I was also unsure if it was worth the risk of corruption, plus the knowledge that once Paranoia woke up, he probably wouldn't recognise Logan.

Yet somehow, against my better judgement, I allowed Logan to stay, "...fine, aslong as you're sure about it, you can stay here with him. I'll lead Roman and Patton back to their side of the mind while Remus stays here with you. If Para- uh.. I mean, if Virgils awake tomorrow i'll come and get you two to join us over here again, ok?" I asked Roman and Patton, praying no one heard my slip up when referring to Virgil.

Once I got nods of approval from both of the remaining light sides, I gave my own nod to Remus to signify I had put faith in him to look after Logan and Virgil while I was gone and begun to lead Roman and Patton back.

"Take care of them.." I mumbled to Remus before fully exiting the room, the other two trailing behind me.

Leaving Remus and Logan in a room was either an amazing choice or one of the worst choices in my life. Welp, only time will tell.
