Luke
For some reason, Lilac, or whatever her name is, was making me feel bad. She looked so hurt, and I was the reason for that hurt. It didn't help that Calum and my sister took a liking toward the girl. Grace stood at our car with her arms crossed, a frown on her face. I grumbled, rolling my eyes since I knew I was about to be lectured by my twin sister.
"Lucas, what the hell were you thinking." I walked passed her, getting into the driver's seat and starting the car up. I frowned, waiting for her slow ass to get into the car so I could leave this hell hole. "Rose didn't deserve for you to do that to her." She started right away. I pursed my lips, keeping my eyes on the road.
"How do you know if she deserved it or not?" I questioned, still not looking into her eyes. I know that she'll try to guilt trip me into apologizing. Grace rolled her eyes.
"Nobody deserves that Luke, she was humiliated." You can always count on my sister to see the good in somebody, and to use big words. "Rose never did anything to you!" Grace exclaimed. I wanted to tell her that she did, but I wasn't going to risk it. We pulled into our new driveway, right behind the moving truck. My mum walked outside, smiling at the two of us.
"I know she didn't deserve it, Grace. I don't know why I did it, okay?'' Grace gave me a sympathetic look and grabbed my hand, giving it a squeeze. I gave her a fake smile, knowing that she would smile as well.
"Just think about apologizing, please?" She gave me her infamous puppy dog eyes, the ones almost identical to his, the eyes that made all of their older siblings and their mother melt. I sighed loudly, rubbing my face. Grace gave me a knowing smile before hopping out of the car and running into the house. As soon as I got out of the car I looked around, specifically at the neighbor's house.
Looking up into the window above me, I already saw someone looking right at me, and that someone was Rose Winton, the girl that made me feel bad for doing something so little, that I shouldn't have felt bad for. I felt guilt bubble in my stomach when I saw the hurt in her eyes. I had a feeling that it would take a while to gain her trust, to get her to not see me as the asshole that dumped his lunch on her.
There was something about her that made me want to be like my sister, and be incredibly nice to everyone, but I couldn't let that happen. I looked away and as soon as I did, I noticed how soaked with rain that I was, my hair and clothes were sticking to me. I walked inside the new house, it already smelled like the lavender candles my mom likes to put everywhere.
I took off my muddy converse, hearing my mum and sister talking in the kitchen. As soon as my mum saw me walk into the kitchen she smiled at me. "Good!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands and looking back and forth at Grace and I. "Now that Luke is here, you two can pick your room. There's four rooms in the house, one downstairs, mine, and three upstairs. I better not hear any fighting."
I gave Grace an evil smile before taking off up the stairs. "Luke!" She yelled, chasing after me. I found the nicest looking room, it had it's own bathroom and a window seat, not to mention, it was the biggest. I raced inside the room.
"Mine!" Grace groaned loudly, stomping her foot. She looked into the room across from mine, it was almost identical, just without the window seat. I looked out the window, seeing Rose's room across from mine. I smiled, seeing all the band posters hanging up in her room. I saw her sitting on her bed, scrolling on her phone and looking really bored, but also kind of cute. Her lilac colored hair was in a loose braid, all her baby hairs were surrounding her face. The shirt she was wearing was huge, covering her legs as well. It was kind of adorable.
I looked away, catching myself finding her attractive, I'm not going through that again.
