It was a cold night. Even though it wasn't winter anymore, cold bursted through my leather-jacket and I pulled it tighter around my body. Only a few streetlights lit up the night while I was waiting for the bus. My hands were freezing so I hid them under my armpits as the bus drove in and stopped so that I and a few other people that I didn't really know -but recognized- could step on. People were still wearing their winter coats and hats, while I was wearing my ripped jeans and my leather-jacket. This made me stand out and the attention turned to me. As I paid my bus-ticket the chauffeur asked me if I wasn't freezing. I just nodded and kept walking. I sat in the back, I always do. Then no one can look at me, but I can watch over everyone else. I know it sounds weird but thats what I do. I watch people.

The motors turned on again and the bus drove away to pick up new people.

Two stations away from me a boy with messy brown hair hopped on. He wore a blue bandana with white symmetries on it, and a black coat wrapped around him.

"Ashton!" I yelled at him, waving with my hand so he could see me.

He rushed to the back of the bus and sat next to me.

"Hi." he said smiling so his dimples showed. "Aren' t you cold?" he asked, studying me from top to toe.

"Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I sighed.

"Because it's cold as hell and you're wearing clothes that are made for spring." he said, raising an eyebrow at me.

"It is spring!" I said a bit too loud. "Anyway, where are the other boys?" I asked, lowering my voice this time. I didn't really want to draw any attention to me. I know that these people don't know my parents but since I'm a lot younger -actually just two years, but that is a lot for my parents- than my friends I didn't want people to tell my parents, in case anyone would happen to know them.

"Calum texted me, he said they'll meet us there."

I nodded. "I heard you got your license. Why're you not driving?" I asked, since the first thing you do when you get your drivers license is probably show off. I know Ashton's not like that, he's more of a good guy. Looks like a bad boy but more like a good boy. Well I guess all of them are like that. Looking cool and everything with their ripped jeans and band-shirts but then they open their mouths and... Yeah.

"You need a car to be able to drive, not just the license. " he smirked, showing his dimples.

"What is this thing anyway?" I asked, not sure what was gonna happen tonight.

"Uhm, I think it's some kind of party or something." he answered, digging his hand in his pocket then pulling out his phone. I just nodded, turned to the window and stared at the my own reflection. My dark hair curling around my shoulders, my make-up making my eyes pop and my pale skin standing out. I used to be comfortable with how I look but lately I've started to doubt. I'm not really the girl who walks up to people and show off, I just think that I'm pretty enough to live. But lately things have been running weird and my emotions have been running crazy. The boys tell me I look fine when I ask them, maybe they're just being polite. I don't really know.

I glazed at Ashton and saw him smiling at a text he just received. "Who is it?" I asked smiling.

He looked at me for a second then back at the phone, still smiling.

"It's just this girl I met a few days ago. She's really sweet."

"Oh really!" I elbowed him in the side and he turned to me. I wiggled my eyebrows, he pushed back and giggled. "Stop, it's nothing like that." Still unable to stop smile.

"If you say so, what's her name?" I asked. It seemed like he had to think for a while. Not sure if he didn't remember or if he just tried to make up a name in his head so he didn't have to tell the truth. "Johanna." he said then.
