The bus was too crowded for me when I stepped on the next morning. My spot at the back was taken by a blonde girl in my age. So I sat down in the seat in front of her, sighing for myself. I turned to the window and closed my eyes. I felt someone take a seat next to me, Luke.
"Hi." he said, I just looked over at him and then turned back to the window again. "How is your day?" he asked teasing.
"Shut up." I said. I felt the annoyance picking on my back. This morning I hadn't given such big effort in what to wear so I had just picked out a pair of jeans and a black shirt. "I'm just gonna tell the boys." he said, fiddling with his phone.
"Tell them what?" I asked.
"That you're being a grumpy bitch. Sorry." he typed on his keyboard then locked his phone again.
"Thanks, I'm not really having a great time right now and you're not doing much to support." I snapped.
"I said sorry." he replied.
I turned my face to the window again, ignoring him. After awhile I felt someone looking our way. I turned my head back to see that blonde girl staring at Luke. As fast as she caught my gaze she rapidly turned her face and looked out the window. I turned to Luke and I couldn't blame her for staring. It felt wrong having someone staring at him, he is my best friend but he his good looking too. Those beautiful blue eyes so focused on the game he played on his phone. His messy blonde hair that was styled in a quiff. He didn't notice me staring first, he was to focused on the game and every time the character jumped in the game Luke twitched in real life, like it was suppose to help him. Then when he died he turned to look at me.
"What? What am I doing now?" he asked.
"Nothing, I was just trying to figure out what game you played." I lied.
"Oh, it's just some game -Hey! Is that Ashton and your friend Sarah?" Luke pointed out the window. We jumped out of the bus. "Yes it is." I said. I suddenly remembered that caller ID named: Ashley, and now I realized it must stand for Ashton. Luke was just about to call on them when I grabbed his hand.
"Let them be." I said, I pulled him with me and we took another way to enter the school.
I watched them laugh together and I thought about the feeling of having a boyfriend. I turned to Luke who was paying attention to something else, and for a split second pictures of him and I cuddling and teasing each other as couples appeared in my head but I shook them off as fast as they came. Luke was my best friend and I have to be madly insane if I thought we could develop that to something more.

At English class Sarah sat next to me and I wanted to take advantage of the little time, we had together since our classes was almost completely different.
"I don't know what to say." I said, leaning my chin on my hand.
"You don't have to say anything?" she opened her notebook and started writing down what Mr. Fitch had written on the board.
"You know what I mean, Ashton and you, I saw you."
She turned to face me wide-eyed, she didn't say anything. But her cheeks were this pink color.
"Oh, wake up hunny, this is a small town, not New York. I told you I was going to find out about it anyway." I mumbled. "And despite I don't have a problem with you dating him. Actually I don't give a crap if he dates you, as long as you're cool with it. And happy."
"Thank you." she finally said, "I didn't wanna tell you because I know you're friends and everything. So I kinda' like didn't wanna take him away from you."
