-Itachi you're the best!- you screamed seeing your best friend being promoted to Junin level of ninja.
He stared in your direction with a small smile on his face. You never believed that you were lucky enough to be his friend.
Girls in the ninja academy were always mean to you with no actual reason. You never tough that some extra weight was something bad. Turned out they tough differently.
That's was one of the reasons why Itachi took notice of your person. You were always away from the girls, actually thinking about training and not gossiping about boys and who you like or not. That's why he spoke to you one day.
No matter how distanced he was he never understood the girls he needed to deal with and why they were so attracted to him. And it really bothered him.
So you were his chubby rescue. He always went to you when he had problem with something and when he needed advice.
Itachi slowly made his way towards you. You jumped around yourself, your eyes shining with excitement. A small gift bag way resting in your hand flying around along with your movement.
-Congratulations!- you jumped at him.
Your hands coiled around his chest in tight hug. He hugged you back, a small spark of amusement in his eyes. You only smiled up at him and stretched the hand with the paper bag in it.
-A gift for your accomplishment! Open it! I want to see your reaction!- you said excitedly.
He looked with hesitation at the object but took it either way. He put his hand in and pulled out the object. In his hand was resting a dango plush.

A small blush crossed his face as he smiled softly at you.
-Thank you [Y/n]. It's adorable...- he smirked and added. –Just like you.
Your face turned crimson from the sudden compliment. You always loved your best friend but you would never loose someone just because you can't keep your own feelings in check. So as an answer you punched him in the shoulder and turned your back to him.
-Hmph... I don't care! Let's go now! I have planned our day together!- you stated not able to see the loving gaze the Uchiha boy was giving you.
There was festival organized in Konohagakure and everyone was wearing special clothes for the occasions. You walked with Itachi so he could change quickly and then both of you made your way to the festival.
First you went to few games, in which you told him you will whine till he doesn't win a teddy bear for you. And as much as he loved you he didn't want to listen to your whining and have a ruined afternoon.
