In the beginning of time, stories have been there.
Telling others what happened to you that day is telling them a story.
Stories are actually everywhere we go.
We need stories.
We heard stories when we were kids and now hopefully share then with our own kids.
Stories can be full of sadness, happiness, anger, life lessons, and much more.
It is why I chose the quote my Philip Pullman.
Nourishment, shelter, and companionship are important in life.
They are important.
We need a place to keep ourselves from the rain.
We need something in our stomachs, so we don't starve.
We need company someone there, so we aren't alone.
When I read the stories being part of what we need, it made me think for a second.
The more I thought about it, the more I see it to be true.
No matter what life gives you, you need a story to help you smile, learn from, or be sad and upset about.
It helps give us emotion.
It helps us go through life.
Stories can be told by other people or we read the story someone put down on paper.
Stories are essential.
We don't think about stories or we don't think stories are essential.
Or
We plainly haven't thought about it.
Life is a story.
It is one big story.
It may not be in book form, but it is a story.
We create the story.
We create life.
Okay I am not trying to get into the whole religious argument or lean towards religion at all.
I'm just keeping it simple as in your mother and father made you and helped you along until you were old enough to know what decisions you want to make. Nothing farther and in depth than that.
Continuing on, those decisions I talked about just now that you make, make up your story.
Every step we took.
Every school we went to.
Every friend we made.
Every relationship we had.
Every part of life tells a story.
Our story.
Our life is a story.
We create it.
We will create the beginning of our children's life story.
One day they will take and have control of that story.
It is scary to think about to those of reading that have kids.
I don't have kids, but even though I don't have then I know it is a scary thought.
Parents worry.
Well let's be honest some parents worry.
Just remember though it is life.
We all have to take the reins someday.
I wouldn't worry too much and take things day by day.
This isn't just going out to parents it is going out to everyone.
There are some things in life that we just have to take day by day.
Planning is good
We should plan out some things.
Paying bills when they are due.
Turning in papers when they are due.
Studying.
Life also throws you a curve ball that you don't expect.
Some things that weren't planned.
They just pop up, so you have to just take them as they go.
Play it by ear.
See what happens.
Life is full of surprises.
Reminds me of a line from the movie Forest Gump.
"My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
It's true.
You never know what life is going to give you.
You take what life gives you though.
You make due.
You take the good and the bad times.
You live.
Now I'm going to back to religion and just say this:
We all have our own thoughts on religion, along with other subjects. I haven't put any religious part in this blog for a reason and that is because we all think differently. We all believe differently. I am not one to make it seem like I'm forcing anything down another person's throat, so I leave the topic of religion alone and out of the blog. Religion is a touchy subject. I'm not trying to offend anyone's religion. If I have offended you, I am sorry. I didn't mean to. This statement is just me letting you all know why I haven't talked about religion.
Now that the statement is over with, let's move on to the quote shall we?
Quote:
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
